Stevenson Cobb Hi there! I saw the edit you sent through for Stevenson Cobb. It's true the gravestone has (or appears to have) "SteveRson," but his name truly was SteveNson. We have other family members who were named for him, plus there are numerous records. :-)
p.s. My great-grandmother, Anna Cobb Thomas, had a brother named John. John married Mary Tillapaugh - is she any relation to your family, by any chance?
RE: Joan Andrews Thanks for the edits. Sounds like her mother had an interesting life. I found her first husband's name Edmund Andrews (Joan's Father) but haven't had any luck finding anything else about him.
RE: Elvira Beeles Hi, thanks for getting back to me! After a bit of digging I did find an Elizabeth Alviria Pitcher, born in 1854, who was a daughter of Peter Pitcher and Margaret Blair. Maybe over time it's just been kinda lost what order the and spelling is involved in the name, that seems to happen a lot! I know they spent time up north, not just in Montague NY area but also up in Canada. My sweetheart's family is a nightmare to try to navigate between who married who, who spelled their name what way, and that no one seemed to agree on dates!
Is your husband part of the Pitcher family? If so that would make us cousins, I'm descended through Peter & Margaret's son William. I've got a file on the Pitcher line if you'd be interested in it, too
