No, we did not know him. We just do not want loved ones to be forgotten, especially Veterans.

Thank you for finding and taking a picture of his headstone. He is my 4th greatgrandfather.
I live in Oregon and will probably never make it to Kansas.

I think that I must have seen another headstone, I've looked at so many, because when I went back to see it again there was no headstone just his name on the memorial page.
So I called the cemetery and spoke with the grounds keeper, he gave me some info and it is my uncle, he said John M. is buried in the OLD part of the cemetery and that there is no map for that area and he was not willing to go and check if there was a headstone. (Which I can understand it is a holiday weekend and i'm sure he was headed somewhere.)
He did give me the name and number for the Historical society there in hopes they would have some further information on my uncle John as he was a preacher and part of the local politics in that area in the late 1800's.
Once again I thank you for your help,I just can't imagine that he does'nt have a stone since someone knows he'd buried there, and it was'nt his family. We had no idea where he died or was buried until today. So I really would like a picture for our geneology, even if it is just of the area, but you have been a great help already.

Thank you for your effort, I actually saw a photo of the headstone on the find a grave web sight and hoped for addtional information on back of stone or surronding graves that may have been family as well, so I really have no idea what is even listed as the location of the plot.
Thank you again VERY much for your effert.
