|I am working on my family genealogy. While I have alot of paternal information, my mother and grandmother both passed away last year, and I'm short on information about their parents. I'm a semi pro photographer and would be happy to help others find graves near my zip code. I'm hoping someone can help me find info on my family as well.|

Hello! My parents were introduced to each other by your grandfather Robert Shaffer. Your grandparents were at my 1964 wedding in Willow Grove, PA. They are pictured in some of my wedding photographs. After the ceremony, speaking to my parents about their own wedding, he said to them, "See, I told you it would work out." Mom and Dad were married 60 years. My parents were lifelong friends of Robert and Rosemary.
My mother, Alma, graduated from Upper Moreland High School with your grandfather in 1937. Have you seen his graduation photograph? They had no yearbook that year, but my mother has a framed picture which includes individual photos of each graduate. Your grandfather's picture is directly under Mom's. Let me know if you would like me to e-mail you his picture.
Mom was a friend of Bob's sister and spent happy times at their home; their mother (your great-grandmother) was an excellent cook and always made Mom feel welcome in their home. That's how Mom and Dad were finally brought together--she was somewhat "tricked" into coming to a party at their home. When she walked in, there was this quiet fellow who had wanted to meet her: Will (my future dad!).
Mom and I were at Doylestown Cemetery in the summer of 2009, but she couldn't recall the burial location of your grandparents. It was getting late, and I did not inquire at the office. I hope this gives you an idea of how much your grandparents were appreciated!

I have done recording and research on the Charles Baber Cemetery located in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA. There are 3 "Shaffers" buried there: Dorothea Jones Shaffer, died 1947, age 54y; Frank A. Shaffer, died 1950, age 65y; and Katharine P. Shaffer, died 1963, age 78y.
Maybe the names would be useful in your research. If you need other burial info on them, please let me know.
