Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, my name is Karen (Salsman) Martin. In addition to being a member of Findagrave, I also belong to Ancestry. I have a Master's in Education and I am a teacher looking for full time work in Northeast Ohio, after a two year stay in Kentucky, you could say I returned to my "Roots" My Salsman side came from Grayson county, KY. We have decided to make Ohio our retirement home. I am writing a family history book and enjoy stamp collecting and scrap-booking. I am also a rock hound and enjoy the outdoors. I have 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and 2 on the way. I am still hoping to connect with my Kentucky cousins (Salsman, Saltsman, Saltsman, and many more). Who knows maybe I will find some Ohio cousins too. Sur-names I am researching are West, Price, Salsman, Creely, Peters, Yates, Davis, Decker, Cromer, Boren, Martin, and Scaggs - Feel free to find me at Ancestry (Salsman)Martin family tree if you have information on these Surnames- Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

RE: Minick and it varients
Dollie was probably a cousins of Mary's, her father was J N Piercefield/Percyfield. See her findagrave memorial here #22206008. See her Missouri Death Certificate at: certificates
put last name DORRIS in the search bar
& choose Pemiscot as the County, and it will come up.

RE: Minick and it varients
You say George Richard Minnick was born in Pennsylvania, do you have a birth year, or approx birth year? Do you have the state & date for Mary? I am sure I can help, I just need a little more info to get started.

George Richard Minich
He very well may have married Mary first, He married Lena Rice in 1869, and Lena was Seth's mother.

RE: wagener Nathan
Mrs Martin, Nathan was a great great uncle to me. Nathan was married on May 1, 1860 to a Hanna West, after the death of his first wife. Hanna was born about 1815, died before 1880 in Decatur county, Indiana.

I am sorry, but I have no other name that Hanna may have gone by. Perhaps the census information may help you, if you know where she was born and lived. If I can be of any further help, please let me know.

The 1860 & 1870 census for decatur county, Indiana gives Hanna's birth place as Kentucky. 1880 Census: Marion Township, Decatur County, Indiana lists Nathan Wagener as a Carpenter and head of household, son, James S. as a farmer and daughter-in-law, Sarah T. Wagener listed as housekeeper. Also listed is granddaughter, Annie and grandsons, James Elmer and Nathan Henry Wagener. Nathan's 2nd wife, Hanna is not listed. Nathan is listed as a "Widower".

Re: Rachel Sanders
Rachel was my g-grandmother on my paternal side.
Her first husband was Mr. Stevenson and she never married Arch Langdon, they just had 3 children together after Mr. Stevenson died
