Your tombstone stands among the rest; neglected & alone.
The name & date are chiseled out on polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care; it is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist; you died & I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled one hundred years ago,
Spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so.
I wonder as you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew,
That someday I would find this spot, and come to visit you.

I just added a photo image of an obituary for Simeon Stark in Bradshaw Nebraska. I am reviewing the Polk Progress searching for my own family, but am saving all obituaries I come across
|BjJ||Mary A. Trimble #29236189|
I noticed your flower and message on her memorial, wondering if this was the wife of a great grandfather. I sent the obit to the person who manages her memorial, but here it is in case it doesn't get added. Hopefully that will help you determine if this is who she thinks she is. "Mrs. Mary A. Trimble, wife of J. A. Trimble, died Wednesday, November 5, at her home in Cheyenne Wells, Colo., aged 72 years, 2 months and 16 days, of complications. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Lucy Baughman, Mrs. Florence Owens and Miss Mattie Trimble, all of Cheyenne Wells; two sons, Thomas and w2illiam, Pleasant Plains; one brother, James Barbre, Springfield, and one sister, Mrs. Martha Baughman, Curran. The body will be brought to this place and is expected to reach Springfield tomorrow." - IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 11-8-1924
