Just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU for taking pictures of this headstone. It is greatly appreciated as without your help I would probably never have a photo of the stone. I am not from the area and live to far away to make a special trip. AGAIN, THANK YOU!!

Marker for Mary Dougherty
Hi Joanne,

I'm grateful you took the time to chase down this photo, but I have to tell you I have no idea who this person was. ( ! ) The dates don't correspond to anyone in my family tree, and the person I'm looking for was Mary Dougherty, whose maiden name was Richeson. Her parents weren't even married in 1877 when this woman was born.

What did they tell you at the office? I know they have Mary Dougherty's burial records because I called them myself to make sure she was buried there. I'll see if I can sort this out at my end, but in the meantime can you remove this photo from Mary Dougherty's page? Thanks so much, and please feel free to contact me.

You will find this a great hobby.... sometimes it is like a treasure hunt as you search for the right grave... and then you feel a "high" as you discover your "treasure". The walks, the birds singing, nature, design of stones, interesting inscriptions. You will enjoy this hobby... plus I know you like to help people.
