I am a Florida native born in Ocala and living in Brooksville, Hernando County since I was a baby. I found your site through World Vital Records membership and was excited to find Ocklawaha Cemetery and a couple of relatives buried there, which will eliminate one of my "brick walls" in the family history.

I am a paralegal, having worked in the real estate, estate planning and civil litigation divisions for the last 13 years. Prior to that I did accounting and tax work.

I got hooked on genealogy and am interested in transcribing old records, restoring gravestones and photographing them. In the event my help is needed, please let me know.

Could you please link John Davis Perry (#42116162) to his parents Joseph Todd Copeland Perry (#104668898) and Susan Mothershed Bailey (#10656253) please.

John Davis Perry and his wife Mira Emma Crenshaw (#42276588) are my great grandparents, through their youngest son, Claude R Perry (#134807446).

John and Mira had the following children:
Susan M Perry (#8306565)
Louise Perry
Edith J Perry
Victor Davis Perry (#42276596)
Macon Hilbert Perry (#42276584)
Claude R Perry (#134807446)

Thank you for the photos! It looks like her DOB is listed as 11/29/1836. Is that correct? Can't enlarge the picture enough to be sure.

RE: Esther Averitte
Sure that would be great and yes transfer to me. Yes how small the world is, I remember going to Nat's big house in Summerfield with my dad when I was little and I remember him well. Yes I like the close up. Thanks for sharing that.

Mira Perry
Hi Karen,

Thought you'd be interested to know that the Mira Perry you have listed (b Sep. 23, 1875, d Mar. 30, 1919) was the wife of John Davis Perry (b Aug 18, 1862 in Florida, d Jun 4, 1938, Find A Grave Memorial # ). Her full name was Mira Emma (Crenshaw) Perry, daughter of Hiram Crenshaw and Mildred Duncan. John Davis Perry and Mira E. Crenshaw were my great-grandparents through their son Claude Roland Perry (b 1909 in Florida, d 1955 in Miami, Dade Co., Fl).

I am not sure where Grandpa Claude was buried. However, also buried in Pine Level Cemetery are the following children of John Davis and Mira Perry:

Susan M. "Susie" Perry Gibson (Find A Grave Memorial #8306565 I linked her to both Mira and John)
Victor Davis Perry (Find A Grave Memorial # 42276596)
Macon Hilbert Perry (Find A Grave Memorial # 42276584)

According to my records and from what my parents have told me, John and Mira Perry had 2 other children, both daughters:
Louise Perry (b about 1899
Edith J. Perry (b about 1902 in Florida)

Figured you might like to link the above unlinked children to John and Mira

RE: Mary Evelyn Luke
Hi Karen,
I tried to answer but lost connection a few minutes ago. I think she is buried in front of my father, Doyle Adkins. You can see the Wesleyn Village Church from their graves. There is a rope type corner around their graves to keep the cars from going over their graves.

I have a photo of her tombstone and will see if I can find it. If I do, I will post it. Let me know if you still can't find her grave and I'll try and give you better directions.
