|I've been researching my family for about 15 years at this point. HEUSTON, CARTER, SIDWELL, THARP, COWGILL, BARBER, COWDEN, TURPIN, DABNEY, DOOLEY, HATCH,RAWLINGS,ROBBINS and many more. I am happy to take photos in my area and to do any other volunteer research that might help others. Since most of us live far away, it seems, from where our ancestors lived their lives, I appreciate receiving help from others and like to return the favor when I can. I've met some great people while doing genealogy, many of them are here on Find a Grave. Please remember to take just a moment to thank a volunteer who has somehow helped you in your research. Happy hunting!|

I was scrolling down through the Find A Grave memorial and looking at all the information and sure enough it was your name at the bottom with the note you have more pics to share. My direct line is Abner & Sarah down through Christenna (Tennie) and James Ayers. Love finding your work in Ancestry. :)

THANK you sooo much for finding my great grandmothers grave site!!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate seeing my great great grandparents headstone. I love the inscription; "Great Love Lives On". Somehow I always knew they stayed deeply in love with each other. My family will be vacationing in Newport in August and we are looking forward to visiting their grave then. Thank you again, ~M~

Sherre, George is my husband's great grandfather. We are working on his family tree. We found his gr gr grandfather Joseph and wife Anne Elizabeth Sydwell in the 1850 census but that is all we have. We think Joseph's father was a Joseph with wife Mary Polly Bell. Don't have much on any of them so any help would be great. We love pictures and the history. Thanks for all you have done. Deborah Carter
Hi Sherre, I believe we are related. My great-grandmother was Martha Heuston Noe, and her only daughter, Fay, is my Grandmother. She is 97 and still living. I have looked through some of the pages on this site and it seems that you know a lot of our family history. I am fascinated by all of this, and I was wondering if you could give me any information you may have about our family. Thank you for your help!

|Cathleen Bronson||Iva Mae Maddox Shaw Heuston|
Iva Mae Sept 18, 1905 - June 12, 1975
My name is Cathleen. I now live in Smyrna GA.
I was born in San Francisco Aug 7, 1945 and adopted because my parents were not married. My biological mother was Barbara Ann Burrell (Shaw, Evans) 1927 - 2001. My biological father was Robert Harold Shaw 1921 - 1946. They lived in Merced CA at the time. Harold as he was called had a brother Carl Eugene Shaw who was called Gene. Their parents were Elbert W. Shaw and Iva Mae Maddox Shaw.
In 1978 I searched for my biological family. I first met Barbara and her family in Merced CA. Then I met Gene and his family in Atwater CA. I was disappointed not have met Iva Mae. She was very loved by everyone I met.
Harold had two daughters before me with LaFloris Brown. The first Susan was relinquished for adoption, lived in the Oakland, CA area and moved to Oregon. And his second daughter was raised by LaFloris. She evidently was close to Iva Mae and Gene.
I believe she lives in Oregon now.
After I had been relinquished for adoption my biological parents Barbara and Harold married in Nov 1945. Harold died in a motorcycle accident in June 1946 their baby girl Linda Jean was born in July 1946 and died in August 1946. Barbara married Kenneth Evans and had three children in Merced, CA.
I would like to know about Iva Mae, my biological grandmother.
Are you able to post any photos? And do you know when and where Iva Mae and Elbert were married and divorced.
My Email is .
Thank you very much, Cathleen Bronson
