RE: Elsie Salyers Shy
Barbara, my wife, as a child , would go to Al Creek and spend the summer with her Aunt Elsie. As a teenager she remembered her. She said it's been along time ago but she seemed to litely recall her husband Bill working with the railroad. She is Barbara Ruth Salyers Pitttman born 1947. She has a sister, Peggy McDonald living in Connecticut, and a brother David, living in Arizonia, both are younger. All three have children. My wife and I visit her mom and dad outside of Waverly, Ohio about once a year. We live in Rocky Mount, North Carolina (530 miles away). Bill Pittman

Elsie Salyers Shy
Jeffery, I became interested in findagrave upon my retirement here in Rocky Mount,NC. I am the husband of Barbara Ruth Salyers, the daughter of John Salyers Jr., a brother of Elsie. My wife told me she remembers her parents talking about William's abilities in furniture & musical instrament making. We visited owl creek cemetary with her parents from NC, they needing our help because of the frailties of growing old. I didn't know some else was interested in findagrave in the family. It's a very small world, is it not? Bill Pittman

William L. Cook
Hi Jeffrey, I've been working on the family connections @ St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery in Powellsville, Ohio lately and while on the name Cook I noticed your memorial information. Would like to connect with you to see if your G-Grandfather is related to those in St. John's. Thanks, Steve Staker (also orig from Spfld OH!).
