Please keep me in mind. I am family. Another brother, or better yet the first son to post his power of attorney concerning Thomas Moore of Montgomery County, North Carolina. I have sent an email. Be there for me if you find no answer! Don't want to loose family again!!!

Good news...it's there and in good shape...I just need to catch it with some morning sun on it! --H

Thanks, John. I have several cemetery photos from different angles to show family groups, but your memory of placement is the best guide. The best news is that they should be among the ones on the east, more visible, side. Was afraid you might tell me they were in the snakey drop-off on the northwest side! It's too late today for good morning photos, but will run by to see who I might have missed.

Hello, John. I just added a closeup of Cornelia Ragsdale's stone, but will try to catch more sun on her name--difficult since it tips forward. Was going to suggest that you might prefer to leave your full view of her stone on the memorial, though, since the cemetery was in much better shape when that photo was made.
I haven't seen Mr. & Mrs. Moore's stones, only the one of Cyrus Moore. It is quite possible I have been there at the wrong time of day to read it, or that it may now be under leaves. Do you remember anything about the location? I live nearby, so stopping by is governed by sunlight, not inconvenience. --Harriet
I am Christopher Edward Caraway and I was given your name by Judy Caraway Jackson. My father is William Roy Caraway, son of Riley Junior and Elizabeth Caraway. I have not been told very much at all about the history of the Caraway name and was asking around at a Caraway reunion earlier this year and was pointed to Judy. She has provided me with quite a bit of information for me to pass down to my 4 children, including my 2 sons that will continue the Caraway name. Thank you so much for providing all of the information and pictures on here so that I can find out so much more about my heritage.

You are quite welcome. I enjoy getting pictures for others. I am not sure you know, but Julia and her husband had 2 children that are buried near/next to them and if I remember right, there is another Medling buried nearby. Let me know if I you would like these additional photos and I would be happy to forward them to you. Barb

I visited the Caraway Cemetery near Gladesville today. My maiden name is Caraway and Elihu and Polly are in my Caraway line. I am glad I visited when I did as the writing on the grave markers are almost unreadable. I knew of their burial site but had not gotten to visit before today. I do thank you for posting the information and pictures on Find A Grave. This has proven to be a wonderful site. I am planning to see where Moses Caraway is buried in Wilson Co very soon. The new fence and sign also look good and I am so thankful the old gate was displayed so that I could see. Because of the information you posted I also was able to see where the children of Elihu and Polly were buried in Texas. Thank you so much for all this helpful information. The more I search, the more I find. Thanks.....
