I am from North Georgia, but am researching our family throughout the Southeast. I collect data from many sources to add memorials and have not personally visited some of them. Many of the entries from Cherokee County, Georgia are being entered from Shirley Morris's "Cemeteries of Cherokee County, Georgia." Her book is the first known compilation of burial records for the county.
I enter these records to help others break through walls they hit with their family histories. Please contact me if you have any corrections. If I have added a memorial for a loved one in your family and you would like it removed or transferred, please contact me and I will be glad to do so. Also, if you are looking for someone buried in Cherokee County prior to 1997, I will be more than happy to look up names for you.

This is my first cousin Harold Herman "Buddy" Pruitt. His memorial #68000510. I'm wondering if the death date was entered incorrectly. He was born on October 05, 1943. As of August 2008, when his sister passed away, he was still living in Atlanta, Fulton Georgia. Both his parents are buried at Mica Baptist Church Cemetery. I was wondering if you remembered seeing a birth and a death date listed or if there was only the one date listed for him. I would appreciate any help in this matter.

Being a fully retired and a UFO (Ugly, Fat & Old), I have plenty of time to work on the info for the memorials; however, I would'nt have any "work" if it wasn't for you and the other volunteers in the field.
