Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired my goal is to add all of the cemeteries in Citrus County, but not just names but photographs too. I have added over 200 photographs to New Hope Cemetery. My other goal is to prove that New Hope is in Citrus County (I did) and also to map Oak Ridge so there is only one listing, not two. As a "Citrus County Keeper" I will continue to list all obituaries from the Chronicle every day. Week-ends may take a day or two longer. I am happy to fulfill photo requests and while I am doing that I always try to take a few more pictures to add. I do not want to be a pest when I try to straighten out these cemeteries, I realize that if you do not live here you are not familiar with some of the places. Also, some funeral homes are listed under cemeteries. We are trying to correct that.

If anyone has an addition or correction to anything I have posted please contact me and I will quickly correct it. I am more than happy to turn over ownership to anyone who requests it. AND PLEASE IF YOU SEE THAT I HAVE ENTERED A NAME TWICE, PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT IT. It is easy to make a duplicate without realizing it.

I believe that we are doing a service for future generations. I am dismayed that most newspapers are charging more for obituaries and only a few lines are free. This often leaves out date of birth and place of birth.

There is still a lot of work to do. Many current obituaries don't get recorded.

Some people are here only to add numbers, they do not care about preserving history.

RE: Monica McMullen Obit
I am so sorry. I referenced the maiden name instead of her last name. I apologize for the confusion. Her name is Monica McCormack and the memorial # is http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=109974237.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.

Best regards,
Emily

Monica McMullen Obit
Hi there. Thank you for forwarding the obit for Mrs. McMullen. I've added it to the memorial. Are you related? I'd be more than happy to transfer if you are or if she was a friend. Two additional items -

1. Please tell me the name of the publication of the obit so I can give proper credit;

2. If the photo you've added to her memorial is not yours personally, would you please remove it. We're not allowed to post photos where we don't own the copyright. If you do own the copyright, please let me know that as well.

Many thanks,
Emily

THANK YOU!
THANK YOU so much for all you are doing to preserve the history of Citrus County. I live in Hillsborough, but have ancestors from Pasco, Hernando, Polk, Alachua, Pinellas and yes, Citrus. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

Also, thank you so much for the wonderful profile. You would not believe how many members word their profile extremely rude, for example, "NO TRANSFERS AT ALL, I did the work, I walked the cemeteries, I documented everything and I entered it on Find A Grave so I will NOT transfer any of my memorials."

When reading your profile I do not feel there would be a problem if I asked you a question or requested a transfer and that means a whole lot.

You are appreciated!

glad to help
That little cemetery was a trick to find. I photographed all the headstones that had names on them. Did you use to be D. Grasco??(you sure look like her)

You requested a photo in Van Ness Cemetery, but I live in Citrus Co., and never heard of it, can you tell me where it is located?
