Originally I joined FindAGrave to add the people buried in my local Glenada Odd Fellows Historic Cemetery in Florence, Oregon, as a founding member of the Glenada Odd Fellows Historic Cemetery Association and a member of the Siuslaw Genealogical Society, which has been engaged in family and local history projects in western Lane County for over 25 years. The Society has researched and published several cemetery books. Association and Society members are willing to do look-ups.

I have since added members of my own family, both close and distant, whose gravestones I've photographed around the country. Among the names I'm researching: Mittge, Merrill, Bailey, Wolfe, Furray, Lenox, Armitage, Robbins, Myers, and Gustafson.

If you would like a memorial transferred to you because you are a closer relationship to the person, just let me know, either through a message here or at my email address mittge @ yahoo.com

Any photos added by me, were taken by me, and are free to be used in any non-commercial way you see fit.

RE: Herren graves
You are quite welcome. Glad I could be of service to you. Too bad Jessie's year of death never got engraved on the marker.

You're welcome...glad I could help you out! I took pictures of more Diveleys than were on Find-a-Grave and created memorials for them today after my trip if you are interested.

William L. and Emma Snook
Thank you for posting pictures to the memorials for William L. and Emma Snook. Also thanks for the picture of the headstone for Enola (Snook) Schumacher. I corrected the surname spelling in her memorial and that of her husband, Frank. What I had was taken from their marriage record. Is Enola also buried in Union Cemetery and is her husband buried there as well? I wasn't certain as to where they are buried and showed "Unknown" in their memorials.

RE: Giegler, Krieger & Bartsch
Re: Emma Bartsch Sec. 8, Lot #948

Can you please confirm that is what they said? Section 8 is not very big - around 150 lots total. I went this afternoon to make sure (while I was already there). Either the section or lot number must be wrong.

The two buried in Section L will take some work. This section has almost no in-ground lot markers, so it always takes a lot of effort to find someone. Please be patient for me to locate their graves. Thank you! Ace

Reminder for Mathilda Giegler, Marie Krieger, & Emma Bartsch
Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker?

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

This cemetery will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave's location and the Find A Grave FAQs (Help File) states it is the photo requestors job to provide this information.

Thank you! Ace

Hi! Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave locations (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there are grave markers? Please post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home is a huge cemetery with well over 70,000 burials, and the information is needed in order to find someone there. I go here regularly, and since August I have found over 150 graves at Forest Home that had the location information provided. Thank you! Ace
