I have been an amateur geneologist since 1987. Current research focus is family "originating" in NC and VA who moved to (or through) Smith and surrounding counties in TN and have spread to every state and beyond.

Larry & Susan M.	Sarah Catherine Mason I checked my source (Marion Co., Illinois Cemetery Incriptions Book) and it does say August 2, 1970. I checked ancestry.com also and you are correct it does say she died in August of 1990. I have requested a photo of the headstone to see what it says; it is quite possible whoever read the stone for the book mistook the 9 for a 7.
