I am new to this site and was wondering who you are descended from.
Thank you for posting such great information too.

That is my wife, Esther Ann Scrivner, being held by John Turnbow. It is not her brother, Tom. I have just looked at a similar pict. in her baby book.

The James Walter Turnbow you have listed as the son of John Walter and Martha Brown Turnbow is his nephew. His son James Walter Turnbow was born Nov. 1893 and died 21 March 1979. His wife was Willie Sarah Ward Turnbow. They had 3 sons and 2 daughters.

I don't know what to think. The birth date on the death certificate is 1873, along with the date on the marker. Her daughter In law provided the information and stated her parents as Thomas Brown and Martha Dowdy. Her marriage record states she married J L Fitzgerald in Perry County, I believe it was 1905, yet she doesn't show on the 1880 census with the rest of the family. There is a Mary on the 1900 census, born 1882, but I don't think that is her. She already has a memorial, Spring Hill cemetery, Nashville, listed as Agnes.
Thanks for considering this information.

I am interested in the list of children posted for Thomas Brown and Martha Dowdy. I have a Mary Ages Brown Fitzgerald whose death certificate indicates them as parents. In her later life she went by Agnes. Do you think she possibly went by Molly earlier? Her birth year was 1881. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are most welcome! I was so very happy to have been able to help. I know how excited I become when one of those pieces of the family puzzle finally fall into place. :)

Long time since we have talked.
Have you had any luck on Markham or any of the others that you might have been looking for?
I am trying to find our if Jacob W Coffman's father was William or Abraham Coffman.
If you should have any info on this please let me know.

Hi Steven. Thank you very much and wish I could have been more help. I scoured the cemetery and did the best I could on this and can only assume that this is where Hamilton and Mary Walker are buried since it looks like this is a "family plot". If you notice in the area picture, there is a big cedar tree to the left and that is the tree in the first picture with the two stones at the bottom. I posted this message under the "tree with stones" picture: "Hamilton and Mary Walker are listed in Hesters Chapel Cemetery. I've scoured the markers several times and cannot find them except for what looks like a family grouping in the heart of the cemetery. One of those is Hamilton and Mary's son, David N. Walker. There are two stones at the foot of the big Cedar in the picture that have no writing on them. It's possible that they are of Hamilton and his wife, Mary. 12/14/2012 ~Sherry Craig Retzler, #47769635"

I am a descendant of Captain John "of the forest" Marshall. I would welcome any information you may have on the Marshall Family. I am a descendant of William Marshall (Rev) who died in Eminence KY. I reside in West Tennessee. Thank you for your interest in the Marshall Family.
