I'm the daughter of Ernie Bonham. His son and only other child, Ernie Jr., was killed in an auto accident on the way back to his aircraft carrier, the Oriskany, in 1968. My son, Mike, age 35, looks just like his grandfather! There is a baseball diamond in a park in Ione, Ca named after my father. All of his 13 brothers and sisters have passed away. I have many many fond memories of my father and baseball days with the Yankees and Pirates.
