Nyoka - I know absolutely nothing about this person. I came across his death certificate and created a memorial for him on the website just as I have for roughly 100,000 others. Sorry!
|Aleta Stafford||Wellborn Cemetery|
There is a map on the main cemetery page for Wellborn, if you change to hybrid view it will give you a better look at the location. Driving directions are pretty simple. Take 421 to Stony Fork Road past Hayes Wellborn Road, you will see David Greene Cemetery on the right. Wellborn is in the next fenced field way toward the back. It is seriously over grown as you can tell from the photograph. The 2 memorials that are listed are the only ones there. Hope that helps.

Nyoka, unfortunately, I only added the picture, not the information. You should contact Armantia about the wives. The 1880 and 1900 census shows him married to a Mary J., which I assume is Mary Jane Kilby and the 1920 shows him married to a Zara (Zora), who is a big 42 years younger than him! and who was Zora Baker Phillips, who according to her d/c is buried at Carolina Memorial in Concord. So, your information seems correct, but I would ask Armantia. Sorry.
You sent me: Richard Sinclair Whittington s/o Allan & Mary Eller Whittington. h/o Alma Barnes Whittington. Buried at Mountlawn in N Wilkesboro. I have in the 1930 census he, Alma and dau Ella living with her parents in Watauga, Nathan & Mary Barnes. Is this a different family than Alma Whittington d/o Maude Ale Myers Whittington & Daniel Willard Whittington? I'm in the Walsh, Wellborn, Baker, Eller, Church, Phillips families.
Yes they are different families - Alma Whittington that was d/o Maude Myers Whittington died very young. She was only nine and died of whooping cough. She is the daughter of my great grandma, Maude.
I hope this helps. If I could be of further assistance drop me an email. I could compare information that I have on the Whittingtons.

If that is so, he was a twin and it is likely he is buried at the Walnut Grove Baptist Church cemetery (where his father and mother are buried) with other family. do you need his twin's name, dates, other siblings and parents? I have that. It just would be a while before I got out to Walnut Grove.

Is Floyd's middle name McKinley and was he a twin by chance?

Nyoka: I will put these names down and see what I can find out. I have, to date, only done two cemeteries in full, No. Wilkesboro Town Cemetery and Greenwood. I have not been out to take any more pics because I like to do a cemetery and then go back and add historical information, which is what I am doing now. If you will give me some time, there is a compilation put together by the McNeils (George and his wife) that they put together over years and years, but it is not on line. I will need to go the community college and look in those records and see if I find anything. It may take a few weeks as I am having some driveway and tree work done at my house. That okay? I will also make note of the names for my "notebook" and as I travel around, I will check it.
