|John Farmer||family tree|
Hello again Rachael,
Thank you your early reply. I do believe that we may be related, however I would like to clarify a couple of points.My early research indicated that Thomas Farmer married Joanna Clark in 1876, could she be Iona? In the 1891 Scottish Census the whole family appears, father Thomas, mother Joanna, eldest son Donald, and four daughters, Joan, Euphemia,Marion and Violet.Up to now I had only gone as far as Donald Dixon Farmer. I reckon that he and my father John Craig Farmer
would have been cousins, having the same Grand Parents Donald Farmer b1831 and Euphemia Forbes b1829, they were married in 1850 in St Cuthbert's Church in Edinburgh in 1850. Were you aware that Thomas Farmer had 6 siblings.
If you wish I can now be contacted by e-mail
Kindest regards John Craig Farmer b 1930

Hello Rachael. My name is John Craig Farmer. I have been very interested in Genealogy for some years now. I have studied the Farmer family back to 1692 in Carnbee Fife. I believe that we might be distantly related, as my records indicate that my father John Craig farmer b 1895 and your Grandfather Donald Dixon Farmer b 1877 could be first cousins. My Great Grandparents were Donald Farmer b 1831 and Euphemia Forbes b 1829, the family all lived in Edinburgh, having moved down from Fife around 1827.
If you think that we may be of help to each other in the family research please reply. Otherwise I apologise for this intrusion into your privacy.
As for myself I moved to Vancouver British Columbia with my wife and family from the UK in 1968. I am 78 y.o. Kindest regards
