I've worked on my family tree for over 50 years. I've used primarily the US Census' (1850-1940) to verify most of my recent ancestors. Before 1850, links have been added from other people's trees and have not been 100% validated. I also use documents from Ancestry.com to validate my information.|
My primary interest is my family [Crouch/Shewmaker (Kentucky), Prather/Patton (Kentucky)], my ex-wife's family [Elliott/Alkire (Indiana) and Ahrens/King (England), my fiancee's family [Voorhis/Paddock (Michigan) and Jacobs/Gilbert (Indiana)], my brother-in-law's family [Chrisman/Dodson (West Virginia) and Knotts/Goss (West Virginia), and my son-in-laws family [Van Weelden/Elmore (Ohio/Iowa) and Paulus/Ingle (Ohio).

I am declining the edit to change her maiden name to FitzHugh based on during that era in the 1200's, they were still using the old Patronymic method of retaining the father's first name. Last names were still not consistent.
|Robert F. Crouch||Family|
I am Robert Francis Crouch (1966-current), son of Robert Sanders Crouch (1924-current), son of Robert Lee Crouch (1868-1946), son of William David Crouch (1840-1910), son of Absalom Crouch (1789-1855).
My dad; Robert Sanders Crouch is from Willisburg, KY as was Robert Lee Crouch (grandfather).
Am trying to tie up all the lose ends I can while dad is still with us. Any help you could provide would be wonderful and I'll cover any costs associated with it.
Planning on bringing dad back to Willisburg/Springfield this spring (2016) to learn my lineage. Would love to meet any and all family we can while we are down there.
Thank you! Hope to speak with you soon!

Thank you. Darn those rebels for burning just about all the records in that area. LOL. Sure makes researching a lot rougher for us.

Hi, I was wondering if you had found a death record or grave site for Dinah. My ancestor is her son William Sandy who you show as mentioned in her will - his records show William to be in Rockingham until his death after 1840.

if I may . . the managers of historical memorial all agree, that if the name de Smith is listed with "De Smith" as the surname, the memorial will not fall in place alphabetically, and duplicate memorials created since the file was not found where it should be are an intense problem. Since "de", "le" and other surname prefixes simply mean "from" or "of", the common format is to place the prefix in the middle name field.

Hi Sherman, I linked Elinor Nuthall Sprigg to her mother, per your request. Are you going to also do a memorial for John Nuthall?

|Margaret Combs||Cytha & Warner Ford burial info|
I have a hardbound edition of "Henry County, Kentucky Cemeteries" by C. Price Meek 2nd printing 1995 I found entries for grave #'s & cemetery which I have entered in my public tree on Ancestry. There are no graves listed for anyone named Million. I have deleted the incorrect burial information for her parents which you said was incorrect & which is confirmed by this book. Thank you for that help.
I would be interested to hear from anyone with Ford family genealogy linked to Henry Co, KY. My 2X great grandmother, Mary FORD, married Michael STINSON and they farmed near Lockport. Both were born in Ireland and married in Louisville. I'm wondering if they had a Ford connection in Henry County which led to their moving there.
