RE: Edward Welch - FL National Cemetery
Hi Judy, I made a page for Irene also and attached a picture. I had just cleaned the stone off and two leaves came floating in the air so I just left them on the stone just how they landed.

Acton Clatterbuck

Is Clatterbuck her married name? Was she ever married? It's going to be hard to find this one unless we have the name from the stone. None of my books show a Clatterbuck in this cemetery unfortunately.

RE: John Reeves and Richard Reeves
Happy to help you. This was a new cemetery for me to visit plus I learned about the history of this church location. Apparently, New Union is a sister church to Zion Chapel[they are within a half mile of each other]; and both came out of the Beal Meeting House of 1780. New Union's current location was begun in 1959. The Beal Meeting House location with cemetery across the road is now Zion Chapel UMC and contains very old graves as well as newer ones. I couldn't resist the history lesson!

Mary Fristoe Headstone
You requested a photograph of Mary E. Fristoe's headstone, but this is what I found.

Mary Ellen Tharpe was first married to Jesse G. Manuel who died in 1949. She is buried with him as Mary E. Manuel 1903- 1977.

Mary Ellen Tharpe Manuel (widow) later married Aubrey Milton Fristoe (widower) who is buried with his first wife, Clarinda Elmyra Morrison Fristoe. If you look at Aubrey's headstone you will see his first wife's name.

Therefore, you will not find a stone with Mary E. Fristoe because one does not exist. There are two memorials at Prospect Hill, Front Royal, Warren County, VA for the same person.

Hope this helps and explains why no one can locate a stone for her as Mary E. Fristoe. Hopefully this will be corrected so everyone can find her (with her first husband) but linked also to her second husband!!
