|Paul||Eppert & Jacobs|
Thanks for your reply.
Bear in mind, I am being speculative, but
certain cited sources show for reasoning.
This might explain as to why, in obit of
Sarah Wood Williams being buried in Jacobs!
Cited sources of interest that just might
explain the name of Jacobs.
1839 Land - Thomas Jacobs Clay Co.
(note: this is in same range as that of
Jacob Eppert also of 1839)
The 1850 census for Clay Co. does list
Sarah Wood but under her middle name of
Hannah -- living in the household of,
namely Henry & Elizabeth Jacobs (Henry could
be son/brother to Thomas) Elizabeth (could
be older sister? to Sarah??)
Event you are curious as to why I am
interested in this Amos C. "seen a given name
that has been used a lot in my direct family.
Just another note for you to ponder..

Had a few minutes, you may already have this
information regarding confusion over which
name really belongs to Eppert Cemetery;
Jacobs & Eppert / Jacob Eppert
Bear in mind [speculation] but cited sources,
1835-9 land ownership for Posey Twp., Clay, IN
lists (2) Jacob Eppert: John Eppert & Peter
note: Jacob & John are from Clemont Co., OH;
Peter and Jacob from Clay Co., IN
Hence: I am thinking that original owners,
had a section of land that they named for
a personal cemetery and therefore named after
the original land owners.
Just a thought for you...okay??

Found an obit on John Clements spouse of
Ida Belle Williams Kearnes -- at least he
is not in Eppert ; buried in Highland Lawn
age 84 died 1938..obit mentions Belle ..
Just thought I would let you know...

If you want to transfer, okay with me.
As for interpetation, of Isaac Williams
having Brother --1 of 2 -- Kate spouse of
Charles is buried there also (perhaps
headstone is missing) or the inscription
Brother refers to IORM, since Charles also
Yes, as you say interesting.
Perhaps, I'll find something in research

Thanks for the transfer, really appreciate.
To try and answer your questions:
The obits of Gaynell Collins and Ida Belle
Clements -- cemetery in both states
Jacob & Eppert --
In the obit of Sarah Williams (mother of
Belle Kearnes) the cemetery is called
Jacobs -- no other mentioning of names..
As to why Williams' are buried there, afraid
I cannot answer that -- possibly the "older"
men (speculation) were good friends, maybe they
were in Civil War together (again speculation)
I do know that Amos C. Williams must have died
around 1895 or 1896 as Sarah (his spouse)applied
Need some info regarding Eppert...okay??

|Paul||Amos C. & Sarah Williams|
Really appreciate you transferring my
relatives (Kearns, Collins, Ida Belle
Kearns Clements) will start to maintain
Also, would appreciate transfer of Amos
C. Williams and Sarah Williams; they are
also related to my line.
Let me know if you need any assistance in
research regarding Eppert lineage, as,
since I live in Vigo Co., IN might be able
to find, hopefully, unknown information
Thanks again...looking forward to the other
Have a good weekend.
