Huntsman at Evergreen Cemetery
At last all the Huntsman photos I have are up. I guess I got sidetracked a bit.

Huntsman at Evergreen Cemetery
You may have noticed I deleted the photos from the page for Samuel Huntsman. Those were illegible due to mold and shadows from being under a dense canopy of tree branches. Hurricane Sandy has knocked down several trees in that section (and many others throughout the cemetery) so the markers are now illuminated. The sunlight apparently has killed off most of the mold as well. They are now quite legible and I will be redoing the photos soon.

The arched monument states that it is for the children of Samuel and Mary Ann Huntsman. The side panels are for John B. and Anna Huntsman. One of the two broken headstones is most likely for Mary Ann Huntsman. I hope the cemetery can give you the names of all the people buried there and perhaps even a diagram of where each is buried. The little marker in the center of the plot is still illegible.

Within the Huntsman plot is a monument for Charles and Marietta Clifford. Are they part of the Huntsman family too?

RE: Samuel Huntsman
You're welcome for the photos. Do you know about the others that are buried there?

There is another Samuel Huntsman, his son perhaps. It is the marker that is two stones to the right of Samuel's. The one in between is broken.

It is for Samuel Huntsman who died in April 1873 at 26 years old.

Then on that small arch there seem to be names of several others but it is very very difficult to read. If you like, I could email you a couple of these photos so you could see them. If you asked the office at Evergreen they can tell you exactly who is buried there and perhaps even give you a diagram of the plot. I have gotten such diagrams from them in the past. They have a sketch of the plot and list of the persons buried there and where they are in the plot.
