My very sincere thanks to everyone who is pitching in and helping photograph the graves of Able Company. I really did not expect a response of this magnitude!
I am a mid-twenties part-time historian living in Brooklyn. My primary purpose for this site is to keep track of family members, and Marines who served with my ancestor 1st Lt. Philip Wood in Able Company, 24th Marines.
If anyone has any information about any of the profiles I have posted, please let me know!
In addition to the names listed here, I am actively seeking information on any members of A Company, 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment.
If I can be of any help locating your military ancestors, please don't hesitate to ask!

Hi, I have made several attempts to find the grave for your photo request at Forest Lawn West. The office no longer gives out locations to photo volunteers, and this cemetery has easily over 25,000 graves. Although I do often find graves by hiking around randomly, finding one grave is like finding a needle in a haystack. I searched the entire cemetery and could not locate him. I then called the person who has records for Church Hill Cemetery and he had no record Of Ellis. I the went to the local funeral home "Oakley's" and the had no record of Ellis. Sorry, Karl | | | Gia Hays
