I don't know, that's a good question? I tried to look for the WWI draft card. But I'm not finding his. But I know his DC shows July (?) 1879. And his stone reads July 3, 1879. So, I really can't say. I personally have came across a few that had the dates wrong in my family, but we know they were illiterate. But I can't see that as a reason the dates would be wrong. Maybe his wife didn't know his birth date? She is the informant on his death certificate! I just try and go by the DC's and the stone. But sorry I just have no answer for you.
Sorry for the very late reply on your requests. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis. Also I have been off line for a very long time due to personal reasons. Also you e-mail got lost.
I am glad I was able to locate your mother's grandfather, Waldemar Hallberg, for her. Today I added a photo of his grave stone to his memorial for your mother and you.

|Loretta (Willis) Rainey-Fones||Elizabeth Elliott|
While searching for Oliver Elliott to link him to his first wife, I came across Elizabeth Frances Warren Elliott's memorial and curiously read your post. Since I grew up in the Wakenda area, I wanted to learn more about Hill's Landing and Bloody Bill. And I see that he died in 1864. However, you state that Elizabeth's father was killed by him in 1865? Curious about it all. Loretta
