Bio Photo I have been researching my family line for several years. It's a hobby that I try to fit in between job and family. Some of the family names I research are Vaught, Naftzger, Heath, Barnhart, Strickland, Scalf, Cox, Holdeman, Mishler, Sweet, Cassida and others

Heavy infestation of pine tree saplings. They are about thigh to waist high right now.

Vaught Cem in Alabama
I have added some photos to your family in this cem. The tornadoes of April 2010 & 2011 did much damage to the area. Quite a few headstones are now gone or broken and some included your family line. I have tried to document as best as I could so you can locate the graves again. Alot of environmental debris is now an issue for this cemetery even though the storm debris has been cleaned up. Not sure if you know and family or government services who could clean it out but thought you might want to know. Maria aka Head Hunter 47958320

RE: Henry L Beaman Memorial
This is the memorial number I'm referring to 50945901. It seems to be there OK. Double check the memorial number and make sure we are on the same page.

Wouldn't be the first time I goofed.

Henry L Beaman Memorial
I have posted a picture I believe to be Mr. Beaman taken at Paragon School in Paragon, Indiana. If possible would you please take a look and make sure. Your flower said you were a relative and I'm hoping you'll know.

RE: Naftzger in Long Beach
Just another little thought here - - - Sunnyside didn't open 'til 1906, two years after E.H.N. died. Muni has 2,053 and opened in 1901. You can see on their website that all the legible markers are catalogued - and Ephriam isn't among them. About 50 un-readable markers are there. cb

RE: Naftzger in Long Beach
Yep - - Signal Hill has two cemeteries. What the distinction is may be L.B. city has the paupers in the municipal graveyard, and the more substantial citizens were interred at Sunnyside, which is right across the street - and still on the south slope of the "hill." The obits are correct; the name "Sunnyside" probably didn't come into existence until after the split. So - - - I'll get hold of the person who keeps records. There is a pile-up for Sunnyside for some reason. Poor neighborhood, (it is un-attended), difficulty in getting records from the City - - something. Right now there are 18 un-claimed requests dating to May 21 this year. Several active "gravers" work this area and I guess it's only me who doesn't know what's wrong with Sunnyside. You have so much invested in Ephriam that I'll find the answers to all of it. Don't wait up, though. Regards, and wish me luck. I'll take my grandson; he's a zombie fighter and helps me look for markers. More anon - cb

The Muni Cemetery has no record. The only Ephriam is a Mr. Ames. I am trying Sunnyside (right across the street from Muni) but they haven't returned my calls. Please re-check your records and see it Sunnyside is the place, call them and post the location on the site. Regards, cb
