the Polkinghorns
Thanks for the e-mail regarding the Polkinghorns. I am not related but photographed the tombstone because it was a unique name. I originally used others' trees to come up with Eliza Polkinghorn's maiden name as Bands. I did a little more digging today and found her Illinois death certificate on and it says her father's name was Bands. I also found her son Edward's death certificate on and it says his mother's name was Eliza Banks. So, there are now three names in the running--Bands, Banks, and Bond. It's going to take someone from the family with direct knowledge to straighten this one out. Thanks for the interesting input, though.

P.S. My Civil War veteran virtual cemeteries are pretty much set up for my contributions to creating or maintaining GAR or CSA memorials. So, while I'd like to add your guy, I've had nothing to do with him. If I can add something down the road, then I'll add him to my virtual cemeteries. It is a shame, though, that his name is wrong on his marker. I'm going to file his name away until I can meet up with a guy who specializes in ordering new GAR replacement markers and I'll see what he has to say on this issue. Continued success with your tree and keep up the good work on

Robert M. Sizelove, Sr.
Bernhardt family
Would like to thank you for posting all the family association burial data for my grandmother, Elizabeth Mae (Guest) Sizelove-Bernhardt's, second husband, Antone Bernhardt. They resided in Nevada City, CA. I have been searching for more genealogy on him for some time. I was pleased to see he served our country in two World Wars. I knew him as Tony. Kindest regards. Robert Sizelove, Sr.

I do not have any information that would indicate that the children died in a blizzard. It would be interesting to know if that were the case though.

RE: John Abraham
Thank you for the transfer, I will be sure to take great care of the Memorial you have created. I will ask around the family to find out if anyone knows where the cobbler shop once stood, Maybe my Grandfather knows. If I find out you will be the first to know. Thank you again.
