I read that you attended Grant's funeral. So I want to let you know that I added a photo of Grant to his memorial. The caption contains a link to his naturalization documents, in case you haven't seen them.
I have no connection to Grant, I just find things online and pass them on :)
Thank you for your report on Yolanda Kimsey.

Linda, you are so welcome!
I hope you are a relative! Whenever I see a veteran's gravestone I add him if he is not already on Find A Grave. I am not related, so if u would like to take over management, that would be fine with me.
I'm glad you found him.

Hello. Nice to see you got this memorial in to the correct cemetery, glad I could be of help. I am not related, but I knew that Kirk family plot only held 2 of my ancestors. Thanks. Genealogist

"Valley Home" built around 1795 by William Dearing at Belews Creek, N.C.
It was located on the old Pine Hall Road. near the Dan River.
It was torn down in the 1950s.
(photo from Joseph Stewart)
Joe put the photo on Facebook.
It was from of book of old homes of Rockingham County, N.C.
Since it was over a year ago, I doubt he would remember the name of the book.
If you use the photo, just put the source as a book of old homes of Rockingham County, N.C.
that's all I can suggest.
|deegraver||RE: Valley Home|
who's memorial is the photo on?
Please give me the memorial # at the bottom of that page.

My apologizes for not thanking you sooner. I have no excuse other than I'm just now getting to this email. Thank you so much for finding and posting this photo of Ms. Turner's headstone. It will help with the photo journal that I am pulling together of the women that contributed to my grandmother's friendship quilt. Thanks again.
