I live in the Columbus Ohio area. I retired from the state of Ohio. I enjoy doing genealogy, taking pictures, scrapbooking and wandering around cemeteries. Greenlawn in Columbus is one of my favorites.
James David Saunders Hi my grandpa is James David the son of Matilda and David. I started researching my geneology and can't find anything on David Saunders, maybe we can help each other figure this out.
RE: Thank you Looking thru my papers, Matilda Bell McIlvanie was born Dec. 1, 1892, married a Saunders (no first name), and they had a son James Saunders. She died Oct. 20, 1918. James resided with my mother and her parents, off and on, and he went to school in Melrose, New Mexico. From page 2 of a 1932 letter, my mother wrote, which is in the Lois McIlvanie album, school wasn't James' cup of tea:)
RE: Matilda Mcilvanie Yes, I have it on the flickr site. My name there is simms54. I think you need a yahoo id to log in, or you might have to join (for free). If you can't find me as simms54, search John McIlvanie or Addie Perkins and my photos should come up. Matilda "Tillie" McIlvanie was my mother's adoptive father's sister. It would be in my "John McIlvanie" album. Carl Simpson
ELECTRA ELIZABETH CASWELL This is my 1st cousin 3x removed. I have found her married to Derril Clinton Phelps. I know this is the correct person because the parents and siblings match. She is buried at North Middleton Baptist/Acacia Cemetery. You can go to the following site to prove this to yourself. If you are not a relative, and wouldn't mind, would you transfer the family, parents and children to me? Thank you for posting this family. My heart smiled when I found them already here. Thank you for all your hard work. It is really appreciated.
Caswell's in Rose Center Cemetery Hi Leeann- Just wanted to ask that you might link all of the four Caswell's in the Rose Center Cemetery (Oakland County)together. I am sure that you know that Lee and Mildred are husband and wife and that Alva and Mary are Lee's parents. In my genealogy research, just two days ago, I found them, finally and requested the photos for the Memorials in Find A Grave. That request was filled this morning. I told the photographer that Lee and Mildred lived next door to me in Rose Center back in the mid 1940's, that their son Kenny was there as well. The surprising thing is that I found out on Ancestry that Lee and I were second cousins and I never knew it until a few days ago, 65+ years too late to enjoy the relationship. I don't know if you are related to them or not; or if you know whatever happened to Kenny. I would like to know anything that I can find out and include interesting stories on my Ancestry family tree as I have done with other relatives. Thanks for putting the memorials on there for me to find. Art Stone
