Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing genealogy since at least the early 1970's (my father was really interested in genealogy, but only on his paternal line). Well, it got in his system and so it got in mine as well.

Having moved to SE Pennsylvania has allowed me the luxury of doing quite a bit genealogical research the old way (walking cemeteries, browsing old books in court houses, making phone calls, etc), before the internet made a lot of it easier.

You will likely find a lot of the connections that I made over the years as common knowledge now. That's OK, I was never in this for the credit. I'm only a little bothered that a few speculative connections seem to have lost the "speculative" comments in the notes.

We all have to work together to make Find A Grave a great site. Errors are made, but they can always be fixed. Happy Hunting!!!

I have removed Joel from Mary's memorial. I contacted the individual who gave me the info and he was unable to provide any supporting data for his original connection.

Did you want me to add the notes you provided me on Joel's spouses to his memorial?

RE: McDevitt search
You're welcome. Next month I'm going out with a group of about 12 people to fulfill requests and photograph as much of Old Cathedral as possible. Hopefully your request is located in another section, or at least we can verify that no stone exists.

Susanna McDevitt at Old Cathedral, Philadelphia
I photographed all of Section Q and this name was not there. There are alot of stone bases missing the actual stone, possibly it was broken/removed. Also, might be in another section, but definitely not in Section Q.

Sorry I could not come up with a gravestone monument for Mr. Nix, despite my trust map. His photo and story are quite interesting. My effort was part of Find-A-Grave's community day last Saturday. I had a great time wandering about and photographing Fernwood cemetery with my like-minded neighbors. Most of us averaged about a 50% success rate finding stones for our requests, so unfortunately the situation is all too common.

Best wishes to you on your research endeavors!

RE: Nicholas Wolf
OK, thanks again. I will delete the baptism record. It's nice to have so many records to compare and verify them, and to converse with people who have worked on the same family lines.
