Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started genealogy in 1979. Shortly after, my wife, Wanda and I began working in genealogy on all areas of the genealogical field: research, publishing, printing, speaking, and sales. We both enjoyed going to the seminars and meeting the folks that are found through out the south. We maintain two family surname websites: harmanheritage.net & head-frc.com. After retirement from my day job, I'm now doing some work on FindAGrave.

Hello Calvin, hope all is well. Unfortunately, I did not create, nor am I managing the memorial of Horace R. Jones.

RE: Bond Cemetery in Lincoln Parish
You're welcome. I didn't use Mr. Park's info to find the Bond Cemetery. I knew of it's location beforehand because it was located in an area where I deer hunted years ago. The "Sanders" Cemetery is located on the road to the Bond Cemetery, as you described. I've passed by it many times, but didn't know the name of it (no name posted on it, but is enclosed by a chain link fence). There are only 4 headstones visible and none have the Sanders name on them. Coordinates for the cemetery are: 32.46464-92.71604. If you zoom in on these coordinates you can actually see the fence around the cemetery and a couple of white headstones are visible. The cemetery is located in a powerline right-of-way.

Do you have a link to a list of burials in the cemetery? There is no Sanders Cemetery listed on findagrave (Find A Grave) nor are any of the 4 burials that I have details on. I'd like to go ahead and set up the Sanders cem. on Find A Grave, but would like to add any other burials there besides the four I know about.

I'm not far behind you on age, so I don't get around as well as I used to. Can't walk far anymore. Wife goes with me on some of my "adventures", but like me she can't walk far either. Any cemeteries we visit have to be pretty close to the road. Ha

RE: Dr. William Tilley Marker
Old Holder Cemetery is near Holder Cemetery on Bienville Parish Road 110. Go down 110 (with Holder Cemetery on your right), past a deer camp, and take the first road on your right. Go to the gas well at the end of the road. Go down the pipeline to your left. You can get partway there in a truck or ATV, but downed trees forced us to walk a short distance to hunt for the cemetery. A hand-carved sign and orange ribbon tied to trees will show you the way.
