William / Sarah McClure
Just wondering if you had any info on William or Sarah McClure or their son, Edgar, who was married to my Great Grandmother`s niece, Grace Mae Turner.
She and Sarah passed away one day apart because of illness. Steve

Aaron Rice Pike
Would you be so kind to add to his children's list Marcus Ellis Pike 1875-1947. Marcus is in the 1880 census for Aaron Rice Pike as son, age 5. Thanks, this will make my wife very happy as Marcus is her grandfather.

Hi I am the descendant of Samuel Scott (1761-abt 1820) and his son Isaac M. Scott (1797-1851) of Bensalem. Samuel Scott's brother, Jacob Scott was your ancestor. I don't think Abigail Doane was the mother of those sons after finding the documents of the 1794 adminstration filed in Bucks County that she appointed Samuel Scott, the eldest son of the deceased Samuel Scott as the administrator of the estate. His three brothers, Jacob Scott, Benjamin Scott and Reuben Scott were mentioned. In 1812, Abigail Scott filed her will which was finalized in 1832. She mentioned that her apparels to be given to the daughters and the granddaughters of Jacob Scott of Bensalem. She didn't say "to my daughters or granddaughters". Look at the document of the 1794 adminstration, "to the eldest son of Samuel Scott". She didn't say
"to my son". So I think Abigail Doane Scott was the second wife of Samuel Scott and the step-mother of Samuel, Jacob, Benjamin and Reuben Scott. In addition to support that documentation that in 1761, Abigail Doane recieved a certifcate from Wrightstown Monthly Meeting. (Samuel Scott was born around in 1761 and Jacob in 1762). She was still Abigail Doane when on Feb. 3, 1780, Middletown MM: Men's Minutes reported "Informed that Abigail Doan and three others (Mary Thornton, Mary Croasdale, Mary Stackhouse & Mary Allen) have accomplished their marriage by the assistance of hireling ministers with men not of our Society."
Then on March 2,1780, Middletown Monthly Meeting: Men's Minutes- Testimoines against Mary Carter, late Thornton; Mary Simson, late Croasdale; Mary Gilbert, late Stackhous; Mary Severns, late Allen, and Abigail Scott, late Doan. So the four sons were born between 1761-1766. Abigail Doane Scott apparently got married around Feb to Mar 1780. Thank you. Jean
