|I am the wife of my best friend, a Mother of 3 sons, Step-Mother of 3 sons, Mother-in-Law to 4 Daughters-In-Law, Grandmother to 6 girls and 7 boys.I have a great interest in who and where I came from. I want to be able to pass what I find down to my descendants. I have been doing my own family research for quite some time and seriously doing research for about 10 years. I travel a lot so I have the chance to visit cemeteries across the country. I have found so much good information on Find A Grave. I began looking at Find A Grave as a way to help others also. I hope to get as many memorials up as time allows.I strive to get the best and most readable photos of each headstone. I know the importance of accuracy in our research. I also know that everyone makes some mistakes and I welcome corrections. I am a bit of a stickler for details so I do request corrections of errors I find. I hope that doesn't offend anyone. I will happily transfer management of any of the memorials to family members, which is where they should be. I appreciate all of the contributors who's work has helped me. I am grateful to everyone who has been generous enough to transfer the fruits of their labors to me in order to allow me to link and ad family data to my memorials. I live in Otero County, CO and can also take photos in Prowers, Bent, Crowley, Pueblo, Las Animas, and Baca Counties.|

please do not send 30+ sacs in one day, we are transferring them to Find A Grave, this problem occurred when we took over some memorials.

Thank you very much for the great photos! It looks like you had a beautiful day for your trip to the cemetery.

I'm not sure about the name difference. I'll have to do some more digging. These are distant cousins, so all I know is facts from marriage & death certificates.
Thank you so much for your time!

Thank you so much! This helps to know what it looks like, in case I may go there one day and need to know what to look for. You said there were three other names and a blank space on the other side--what were they? Yes, all these names make sense. Alice was Fred's wife. Florah was their daughter. Jerry was a grandson, who had Down's Syndrome and actually lived a lot longer than they thought he would.

Dear Ms. Youngblood, Thank you for your dedication and service to findagrave. I appreciate that you are particular and careful about the information you post, however at times it is very difficult to ascertain if the information is 100% correct. When I first started using findagrave in my research I assumed if it was written in stone it must be correct, but that is not the case for the stone in the photo for this memorial.
Trampas is a nephew of mine. His given name at birth was Carey Glenn McClure, his mother (my sister) after divorcing Carey's dad, married a policeman by the name of Gilbert Montoya. Gilbert died in Moriarty, NM in Feb., 1967 by criminals breaking into a gas station late one night. To get to my point, Carey could never identify with who he was. I think he would have had problems even without the disruptions and crisis in his life. He was always making himself bigger and better than what he was. Carey entered the Marine Corps under his adopted and legal name of Carey Glenn Montoya, on Jan/ 20, 1976 after one year and four months he was discharged on May 28, 1976. I do not know what kind of discharge he received, but probably Undesirable with Honorable Conditions. I am certain he never advanced any further than Private while in the Marine Corps. It is for this reason I am asking you to remove the photo on this memorial. Cary's stone can carry the term Vietnam, as the Veteran
administration considers the Vietnam Era did not end until May 7, 1975 and Cary entered service before that date. He was certainly not a Staff Sergeant at any time during his short enlistment. At sometime during the 1980's Carey petition a court to change his name to Trampas E McClure.
I have tried to correct this displaying of fraud and want to be hero before with the VA Cemetery without success. I have requested Trampas' military records from the National Archives without achieving my goal, probably because of my explanation of the name change, etc, etc. I shall send another request and hope to resolve this matter.
This type of fraud and misrepresentation of status detracts and takes away from those who served our country with Honor. This evening I spoke with my brother Garry Kinzie, who maintains this memorial. He thought the only thing he could do would be to delete the memorial. This solution would not help, as some will intending person would just create a new memorial site. So please do not honor my nephew by letting him carry his lies and fraud even into and after death. Please remove your posted photo. Feel free to contact me through email email@example.com or at 928-854-3918 or cell 928-856-0169. I wanted to make this a private message through your email address but what you have listed is no longer active. Thank you, Donald G Kinzie USAF MSgt-Retired.

Thanks for sharing about your experience with him too. He was a fine young man. Always a jokster but a good kid. My son was hit hard when he died. His parents were really nice people also. I appreciate you adding the info on there.
