|Mark Maxwell||RE: Bierwirth spelling|
Went to the Clerk's Office today and found that all of the headstones were not placed with the proper paperwork in the Clerk's Office, so we don't know when they were put there, who made them or who bought them. Topping it all off, the Clerk's records show only "ANITA BIERWIRTH" and Frank Bierwirth. No indication of the baby on Frank's stone or "Maria Bierwith". AND THE QUESTIONS KEEP COMING.......
|Mark Maxwell||RE: Annette Bierwirth|
Thank you for the offer. I will be glad to keep her with her family.
What info are you looking for regarding Moritz Stutzbach family?
|Mark Maxwell||Bierwirth spelling|
Problem with maintaining the incorrect spelling in the file means searchers for BIERWIRTH can't find them. I think it is better to correct the name for the file search and make explanations in the Notes section provided for the transcription. That way the person gets found and the correction is in clear view. I will see if the City Clerk records include who made the stone and who paid for it. You should also know that the cross was broken from the stone ( along with others and spray-painting)last year in an unsolved act of vandalism
Just think if someone was looking for STUTZBACH and it was entered STUTZBACK as had been seen in several newspaper articles.
We have a few things at the museum, including a photograph with other "Old Pioneers" of Egg Harbor City.

Please note that the last name on this grave marker is incorrectly spelled. A series of local newspaper articles misspelled the last name and when descendants purchased grave markers, they used this incorrect (BIERWITH) spelling. To make things worse, the Federal government misspelled the name on Francis Bierwirth's grave marker in the Antietam National Cemetery as BIERWORTH. This city of Egg Harbor City and the EHC Historical Society has several examples of mayor Francis Bierwirth's signature verifying the presences of the second "r" in his name.

|Brian O'Hara||James McGarrett|
I have photos of the other new stones, If you would like copies of these , let me know.

Please note your entry for Lorenz Oberst in Egg Harbor City Cemetery is a duplicate
|Janet Studtmann||Amelia Leise|
YES--I see her! Thank you so much. Amelia is the daughter of Rev. John A. Leise and Mary Ann Reber Leise. I'm truly thankful for all your hard work!

Thank you SO MUCH for the wonderful photos you added to the information on the gravesites of John and Mary Leise and Thomas and Elizabeth Reber. I thought that I would probably never see these. Thank you again for your great generosity in adding them to findagrave.
Thanks for trying. I have recorded that he is in an unmarked grave both on FindAGrave and within my software. Though not as good as an image - it at least resolves one chore for me!
