Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family history for over 25 years now. I got interested when out of the blue, a second cousin contacted my father. I then found out that much had been compiled on Brockways in America. (Thank you Walter and Stephen.) I was hooked and have enjoyed sleuthing the family ever since.

When i started asking about my mother's side (Eichinger), I was given a sheet that had information on the descendants on my great-grand-parents written by my grand-aunt, Edith Eichinger.

So much I have received by those who blazed the trails before me. My participation on this site is to give back so that others who follow may benefit.

Thank you--I took a look on the National Archives and updated the bio. There was some trouble with spelling, and while I know what I saw (the people transcribing the census had some variations, and I know Lithuanian and German accents may have caused some issue) but if you have any corrections for me, I would appreciate it. Please take a look.

RE: Emanuel Joseph Freouf
Hi Mark, I guess I'm as confused as you are. Originally there was the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery and the Martin Community Cemetery in two separate locations. As the small catholic one began to be filled, they started using a new area adjacent to the Martin Community Cemetery and it seems to be called the Martin Catholic Cemetery. Since funerals are held in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, the obits usually list the burial site that way. (Not being catholic, I don't understand why they don't call it Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery II).
I was taking some requested gravestone photos and could not find them at the original cemetery. (Emanuel's was one of them). I finally found them at the newer location.
I took photos of the cemetery signs and they are identical.
Yes, I noticed some duplicate listings, also.
Thanks for your prompt attention to this.
I hope I haven't added to the confusion.

I see that you manage some memorials for my Armentrout Ancestors. Are you located in the Millboro, VA area? If so, you may be able to help me

Eichingers at St. Mary's
I've added pics for Paul (#103032568) and Georgianna Eichinger, and I also found Edith, Amelia, Frank and Arthur, pics for whom I've added. I also located a Roy Eichinger, which I assume is the one in Good Shepherd cemetery in Niagara County, which should be in St. Mary Cemetery.

RE: Eichingers and St. Mary's Cemetery
Hi Mark,
I've added another photo (tinfoil rubbing) to the Memorial for Josephine Eichinger #127001812. She is the 3 month old daughter of Paul & Josephine. If you believe her to be part of your folks, I'd be happy to transfer.

RE: Eichingers and St. Mary's Cemetery
Glad to help! I've removed Josephine as a connection to the family. If I can remember where I found the stone, I'll try to get a tinfoil rubbing as to read the names of the parents. Interestingly, I just obtained all the records for this cemetery yesterday and there isn't even one Eichinger is the entire database. Odd, since I'm looking at the stone ;)

Clarence Smith - St. Mary's Lancaster
I found his monument next to his Mother Christine and his Father. If you'd like to put in a photo request for him, I'll upload it. Still no luck in finding a stone for Christine's Father; Paul Eichinger.

Eichinger - St. Mary's Cem. Lancaster
I went in search of the stone for Paul Eichinger to fulfill your photo request. Although I did not find him, I did find a daughter named Josephine (and added a memorial for her) who died in 1873. She would appear to be the oldest of the siblings. I would be happy to transfer her to you. Just use the edit tab and request a transfer. Kathi
