Gertrude Kauffman Binkley
Linda,
Thank you for contacting me and contributing Gertrude Binkley's obituary for me to add to her memorial. Are you connected to her in any way? You also added your source for the obituary from HERALD OF TRUTH.[HERALD OF TRUTH - Volume IV, Number 10 - Oct. 1867, Page 159] What kind of publication is that - a newspaper? a Mennonite publication of some sort? I hope to hear from you soon. Again, thank you so much for your contribution.

Sylvester Aumen, 76, last of a family of 11 children, died suddenly Sunday morning about 10 o'clock at his home in Littlestown from a heart attack.
Mr. Aumen rose at his usual time Sunday morning and ate breakfast. A short time later he complained of feeling ill. A physician was called but before he arrived, Mr. Aumen collapsed in a chair and died almost instantly.
The deceased was born and lived all his life in the Littlestown section of Adams county. He was the last surviving child of Barnabas and Margaret Aumen who came to this country from Germany in 1844. He was twice married. His first wife was the late Jennie Pitzer. His second wife, the former, Emma Clingen, survives with a number of step-children. There also are a number of nieces and nephews surviving.
Mr. Aumen formerly was employed at the Keystone cabinet company. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic church at Littlestown and of the Catholic Beneficial society there.
