Could you transfer this to me? I have additional information that is important to his memorial.
|Elly Reynolds||William Dutch (Died 1918)|
I think the William Dutch (died 1918)who is mentioned here is a distant relative of mine. William emigrated to Philadelphia in 1870 and married Sarah (nee Devlin) in 1876. Both were both in Scotland.
William is the brother of my great great grandfather.
Do you know if there is a marker on his grave?

Are you related to this Devany family? I have been researching the Devany's for some time and was wondering if you have any info on his parents? I'm willing to share what I have if you are interested.

|Michael A. Higgins||Mass grave Holy Cross Cem.Philadelphia.|
Hi,Greetings from Belfast. I run a small website at www.69thpa.co.uk in my retirement about soldiers who served in the 69thPa Inf in your Civil War...one of them was called Ormsby and when I searched I found your entry and the image of the monument to those transferred from St Marys to Holy Cross.Now I have the names of about six 69th soldiers who were buried in St Marys and whose remains were transferred to Holy Cross this looks like the relevant place.
Can you tell me what is the position of the communal grave/monument in the Holy Cross? It would be most appreciated. Do you know if there was any lists made. The soldier who was in the 69th was an Edmond or Edmund Ormsby.
Thanks = Michael Higgins

Did you see there are 2 entries for my relative at this same cemetery? One entry is by Carol with a photo of the headstone, Susan Hasson. Could this be combined into your lovely entry as it will clear up confusion for relatives searching later, thank you.

|Laura E||Re: Jennie Lang Volk|
You submitted a memorial for Jennie Lang Volk for Holy Cross Cemetery but I had believed she was buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery - Philadelphia....

Holy Cross Cemetery - He died in 1918, not 1908. Just thought I'd let you know.
