RE: William David McSorley
Karen,

I do not believe that your supposition is possible.

My Wm David McSorley was born in Eau Claire in 1888 and there is no evidence that he ever left the area.
Wm David married Elsie (who survived him) in 1909 when your Josephine was only 10 years old.

Best wishes in your research. :)

Mary Gale
I've posted a new photo for Mary and slightly changed the dates to reflect what is shown on her stone.

RE: Well!
I believe I've made all the links now. Check them out and if any of them aren't correct let me know. I think the links are one of the best features here. It really is helpful to see who is related to who and how they are related. Just use the edit tab and SAC if you want any more links added. I'm happy to do that.

Mary Gale
I have changed her year of death to 1896. I still plan to check the monument at some future date, but I found that year for her on Ancestry.com, and also realized that on an older stone a 9 and a 5 might look similar.

gale connections
I've gone ahead and made most of them. The one that puzzles me is the Grace with Edith and William; I don't have a husband connected to Edith. Is William in PG Cemetery with another spouse?? Because I see a William there, but I don't want to make the connection if it's not the correct one.

RE: Yes!
I would be quite happy to add the links. It would make it easier for me if you would send that to me through the Edit tab for each individual, though. The next time I'm in PG, I'll get back to the cemetery and see what I can find.

So happy you found your GGGrandmother!

RE: Findagrave record #83419702
You mentioned that three of Mary's children are buried in the Pilot Grove Cemetery. Might I ask who they are?? There might be some information to be gleaned from the records on them.

RE: Findagrave record #83419702
I'm reasonably certain the date of birth is correct. If you open the photo in a larger view, you can see most of that. The death date I'm not so sure of.
When I worked on updating this cemetery, I relied quite heavily on records from the local historical society that are available online http://www.cooper.mogenweb.org/Cemeteries/PILOT_GROVE_CEMETERY.pdf
They have proven to be pretty accurate, though not 100% accurate, so I can't say for sure the death date is correct. The other information they listed for Mary that I did not include was that she was the wife of John F. Gale. Does that coincide with your records??? Please let me know.
I don't know when I will be in Pilot Grove again, so I can't make any promises on rechecking the monument in the near future, but if her husband was John, I'll put it on my (long) list of things to do.

RE: Jane Humble Brown
Hi Karen,

Thank you for your message regarding Jane (Humble) Brown. My line is her son, William George Brown. It is so nice to finally meet a Brown relative! You mentioned a "Brown book." By that, are you meaning the Rockland Centennial book? I am not aware of a specific Brown book, so if it's not the centennial book, I would certainly like to hear more about it. There is at least one picture of Joseph and Jane in the centennial book.

I would love to keep in touch and share future new info if you are interested.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season,

Emily

Please delete this Sarah Denton Moulton; her christening date is 5 Jun 1817. She is already in Find A Grave correctly.
Thank you,
