GPS
GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) coordinates latitude run north or south of the equator represented by a "+" plus sign, and longitude run east or west of the meridian represented by a "-" minus sign. An example I use in PLOT INFORMATION would be +32.61412,-93.70746. The significance of it's usage is that it will render location of a grave within fifteen feet of a interment within a cemetery. This useful information circumvents the tedious, and time consuming walk down of a cemetery to find an interment's unknown location. To utilize, open Google Earth, and copy & paste the above sample coordinates into location rectangle, and press keyboard ENTER BUTTON. The location opens to the map view. From the menu, choose SATELLITE by clicking on it to see the hybrid map, and geographical view of same location. From the left "+" and "-" sliding scale, click on "+" to zoom in looking for the GREEN ARROW representing the interment. Suggest you PRINT a copy of the the computer screen to take with you on your next cemetery visit for orientation, and locating a grave site.
