|Michael Stanley Klimczak||Salley Goodwin memorial|
Hello there. I wanted to personally send you a message in regards to Salley Goodwin's grave stone. Her stone spells her name as Salley instead of the traditional Sally.
Also, although the stone is very hard to read, I managed to write down the transcription by using a special light. The birth date reads 11-07-1810 (the last number is either a '0' or '8'). Her death date is definitely 01-09-1893.
I hope this helps.

George was my mother-in-law's uncle. Her mother was George's sister, Mary Loucinda Miles (Mayme) and the only one I believe that returned to Wisconsin. I am interested in hearing more about your book. You can email me at Brenda.Roach@gmail.com

My name is Marianne Lancaster and I found your email on Find a Grave. I am contacting you on behalf of the 13th Michigan Memorial Association. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and preserving the memory of the men of the 13th Michigan Infantry. We are trying to collect as much information as we can on these men. We want to know who they were before, during and after the war. Lawrence was a member of this unit.
We currently have over 3000 pages of letters, diaries, period newspaper articles and official records. We are not planning on selling any of this information, but in giving it free to anyone interested. Do you have any information on Lawrence you would be willing to share with us?

Sweet lady, there is an error on Charles' memorial regarding the timing of his father's first wife's death and his subsequent remarriage, and I'm pretty sure it's not your error, as I know you know better. You just missed this - FB Troxel's first wife died in the measles epidemic in the wagon train going to Texas in 1852. That is quite different than what the memorial says, which tells us she died on the way to Oregon and by the time FB got to Oregon, he had already married someone else! Yike. According to your wonderful obit on FB's memorial, he didn't marry Elizabeth Emerick until 1859. Could you please fix this? =) Thanks! Pam
Just to let you know I have tried to send you an email at another address you had listed on a message to me. I forgot to mention in that message that I also have Goodwin's in my Family tree. Cheryl
