Deceased was buried on Sunday in the Kinne cemetery, Clyde. She was the first white child born in Pt Huron, and is the mother of Mrs. Merritt in this place. She leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her loss." Weekly expositor., October 01, 1885, Image 1, (Brockway Centre, Mich.)

Are you sure?

I figured it would be William Lester Rathbun who is buried in the same cemetery as Effie. (William's mother is also buried there.)

Shocked! Thank you for posting this memorial.

We did not know William Lester Rathbun married late in life. Effie actually was the sister-in-law to two Rathbun brothers. William Lester Rathbun was a cousin to the two brothers

Again thank you,

Still shocked, Rob Rathbun

All done!

Glad they are yours! Rev. Troutman presided over many We be family events at Trinity in Circleville. Some of the bells in the church tower were given by the Webbr and Barthelmas family.
