Did you delete your work on Ancestry? If not, it should still be there. You don't necessarily have to have a paying subscription. It's a very good place to 'hold' your tree, and maybe give you a few clues.
Is the email address listed on your profile the one that I can reach you at? If so, I'll send you an email, if you would like. I would prefer that we PM over on Ancestry (my mail provider has the tendency to go down rather often), but whatever works best for you.
I have spoken with Aunt Frances on more than one occasion about our ancestors. I don't speak to her as much as I would like, though. Her health is not good, and her mind is starting to fade, and I don't want to bother her. You know what I mean?
Aunt Frances is actually the one who got me really hooked on genealogy in the first place. As we were cleaning out my grandparents' home after the death of my Mema, we found some papers that Aunt Frances had compiled for my Pa. It detailed the Bowden Family as far as she had been able to research.
Much of her information was correct, although there were some things that she didn't know about.
I've heard of the Green Book, but have never seen it. Do they not have the Green Family reunion anymore? Or was that for the Bowden side?
You never answered my question about Ancestry. :)

It's all right. Just a head's up: most of the research on the Bowden Family is faulty at best. If you plan to research this family, be very careful what you add to your tree.
Are you on Ancestry? If you are, send me a PM. Just look up my name. It should direct you right to me.
Don't worry about taking a little time between replies. You are not the only one who is busy. :)

Ah, I thought that I recognized the name, but I had to be sure.
To the best of my knowledge, there were only five children born to Locke and Florence. I have never come across a Norman Bowden that would be their child other than my grandfather, William Norman Bowden. May I ask where you got the information?
When you say Nan's Bible, do you mean Aunt Ramona? If so, would you be willing to share it?
I am on Ancestry if you would like to see my tree. I am listed under my name, so look me up and send me a request if you would like. I am very strict with myself to be as accurate as possible with my research. I am not one of those sloppy researchers who just copies information, right or wrong, from other people's trees without doing the research myself.
May I ask your connection to the Bowden family?
The memorial that you sent for correction was Brunson Bowden's baby brother. I do not have their parents memorials, even though I have asked for them. I can't change anything for you, unfortunately.

You are so welcome. Glad I could help.... Rita

He was the biological father of my son-in-law Jeffrey Alan Summerford. Jeffrey was adopted by his step father when he married Jeff's mother.

I am working on family history and wondering if your Wm M. Summerford was married to Betty Jones and had a son, Ronald Edward Summerford, b. 15 Apr 1954.
