 | Mary A. Critz Sheley Judith, first of all thank you for listing this person and taking a photo of her gravestone, as I live in another state and it is quite a jaunt to get there to do it myself. Just thought you would like to know that "Sheley" was not her maiden name, but rather the name she took when she married Jasper Sheley, her second husband, on 6 Dec. 1894 in Logan County. Peter was her first husband, and father of her children. I assume the tombstone was already there, so when she passed, the children opted to bury her next to their father. She married Peter 21 Feb 1867 in Logan County, and her maiden name, according to the marriage license, was Hamil. | | | L K King
 | Lucas Chapel Cemetery Judith, I am sending you this message / inquire since I noticed that you posted the pictures of the cemetery / plaque / chapel. I have been told that Caroline Richards Myers, her husband Leo W Myers and their son John are buried in Lucas Chapel but do not find them on the website. Is there someplace I could get a complete listing of the burials in this cemetery to check? I have a number of other relatives / ancestors buried in this cemetery. Hopefully one day I will be able to visit. Any guidance you might provide will much appreciated.

 | Doug Lahr Judith,
I'm so glad you finally got the picture! I don't understand why I could never locate it again. You know, of course, it's going to stand out like a sore thumb the next time I drive through there. Acckkkk! Thank you for your patience and putting up with me through all this. I hope your next photo request can be filled with more ease. The heat is going to have to let up first, tho ... haven't been graving for a few weeks now!
Thanks again for letting me know! Jan

 | RE: Doug Lahr Judith,
That may be of some help. I was thinking Doug was further toward the front, but I'll get out there at my earliest opportunity and try it again. It would be easiest to ask our cemetery caretakers but with the decent weather they've been out mowing, etc. and are impossible to find in their office. I'll get it as soon as I can!

 | Doug Lahr Judy,
This is driving me absolutely insane...I am trying to get the photo for Doug's stone, which I have been by DOZENS of times...and do you think I can find it now that someone is looking for it??? I can see it in my mind's eye but I just can't quite seem to locate it when I drive out there. I know Betty, his mother, relatively well, and that was the reason Doug's stone stuck out so well for me.
Soon, very soon! I will NOT give up!!!

 | Thomas Green-yr request Hi Judith-I was there today but was unable to locate the site. The area is not well marked. I will have to return when there is someone in the office to direct me to the more exact space as I was unable to locate the headstone. I will do that it the next few weeks. Sorry for the delay.
