I would love to have copies of the pictures...do you know if there are any church records still around that might mention my ggggrandfather Joel W Swain? I would love to know.
I moved out of Florida in 1994 to North Carolina, shortly after that I became interested in my families history or should I say began to document my families history, I have always had a love of it..just never really knew what to do with it. So, now every time I visit home I'm always hitting the cemeteries, churches, funeral homes and so on. Better late than never I suppose!
My home email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks again, and please let me know about the church records if you can.

Hi Melinda, I saw your post on a blog by jonathanbykowski where he had taken a photo of the cemetery using the reflection of a window pane...you mentioned that your uncle sits on the board. Have they tore the church down yet? My 3rd great grandfather was the Rev Joel Wooten Swain he was the second pastor there. I would love to get my hands on a window pane or something like a door knob anything to have a piece of the church's history. I look forward to hearing from you..also are there any records from the church that would be still around...I'll save my other questions for later.

Saw the picture you added to find a grave of Nancy Arilla Futch's headstone and was wondering if you are related to her . I am adding to pictures of her to go along with the headstone pic on find A GRAVE.

I am not kin the Futches. My friend Donna McPherson has been working on Mt. Enon Cemetery and she came across a small stone that only had
A.C. Futch on it with no dates. I was curious and started researching the name and came up with the Aaron Clifford Futch. I happen to go by the cemetery the day that they had the fish fry and meeting at the old church and met a man and I think he was a Futch. He had two books that had names of people buried at Mt. Enon. He said
that his wife was on the board and that he use to be on the board. I have been trying to find out for sure what the mans name was so I could call him.
do you have anything on a Aaron Clifford Futch that is buried at Mt. Enon.
