I am the granddaughter of Riley and Mary Queen Ballard the death for Mary was April 29th 1942 and Riley was April 30th 1942 Daddy Hardy and his Brother Andy took care of both them at Andys home [they married sisters] Effie [mom] and Ellen Lowery Ballard they [the ] wives took care of them Mary died with heart failure the 29th and papa got her grave dug and he told the ones digging it to go ahead and dig another cause when Riley figured out she was dead he would die and sure enough he did he had been so sick a long time and just waited for her they were that close.. this is such a sweet story. I kept it in my heart.. He would tell this story over and over he called them mamm and dad he also had to bury his grandparents Daniel and Dulcenia they are buried at the foot of the mt ft. of Coxs CK... where you turn and go up to the fish hatchery at Iron mt.UP ON A HILL IN THE BRINKLEY cemetery. in unmarked graves but he showed my where they were. he has a sister buried on Coxs ck at Maces Trailer pk. as you go down the mt its in the one on the Rt side. her name was Flora she was about 16 or so and died with heart trouble then he had twin brothers Willie and Billie and they to are buried at the mace cem. its on a high hill on the Lt as you go down the mt. he had a sister Ada Ballard, Roberts, Howard she died Dec 1998 and was 98 I have the old Ballard Bible and according to it she was b in 1900 she always said 1896 b and there are 2 different dates so who knows papa was the oldest and he remembered he always said 1900. this Bible was used by your dad and brothers to get birth certs. because they could use papas word and the book to prove it.. the maces come in with Eula Waycaster Mace. now we are getting deep and I am 64 and not in good health esp memory as this gets deeper its been quite a few yrs since I even looked or thought of this stuff but I have it all even Nancy Lovens but its in a box paced away in my storage building. I almost died in Feb and had heart surgery and in ICU at Duke hosp. for 3 wks I still get home health care and slowly getting some strength back. God spared my life for my Grandson who is now 13 his mom died Aug 27 2009 and 3 wks to the day my husband of 43yrs died with colon ca.. Gavins mom was my daughter-in law. she too had heart trouble... so his dad my youngest son stays here with us at night.. I enjoy being mom again I have taken care of him since he was 3 due to her health she worked as a RN and was going to ASU working on getting her FNP.. SHE WOULD HAVE FINISHED IN dEC WHICH SHE DID AND WE WENT THEY HAD A BLACK CAP AND GOWN ON HER SEAT.. well I had the caps on .and so tired I am finishing up for now.. you can email if you need and send me your # and I will e mail you mine you can call if needed for questions and will try to remember until I get able to hunt up my info. later Joann[]

You're welcome
Glad I could help with the photo. I have several Hollifield in my Mace line. The only ones I can remember right off is Hester who married George and Millie who married Abraham. Have you came across any Mace in your line?
