I've been interested in genealogy for several years now and decided to put as many of my ancestors in FindAGrave as I can so that other family members will be able to see them and know that these loved ones are not forgotten.|
Surnames on my side are Hannon, Green, Thornton, Marshall,Kidder,Seymour,Hamilton, Rodrigue, Uzee'.
My husband's side is Hughes, Cruise/Crews, Raley, Mathieu, and one or two I've forgotten !!
If I've PERSONALLY posted any photo's or obits that are in your family line and you'd like to have copies, I have no problem with that..I'm here to share my work with those who would have no other way to "visit" the final resting place of our ancestors.

Yes she was pretty. I do have other pictures if you are related and/or interested email me at firstname.lastname@example.org Lexie
|Darrell Landrum||RE: Hughes|
You are welcome. I am slowly working my way back to becoming and active member here again. Broke my computer and my camera within a couple of weeks of each other. Being a creature of habit, figuring out these new gadgets is a bit of a conundrum...
Hi Kathy, transfers complete.
|Mary Agnes Hammett||RE: Sylvain Baudoin|
The one I am looking for died in 1854, not sure where. Maybe married to Genevieve Andras or Eleanore Loup. Eleanore supposedly died 1869 and buried in St Mary's in Raceland.
|Gene Bryant||RE: Hassie Allen Bryant & her mother|
The photo of Hassie, yes. Can you obtain it from the site or do I need to do something?
I plan to visit the Finch Gray Cemetery where Leona is buried and photo/create a memorial for her. I'll have her death date then and share it with you.
I may also be posting more photos soon, if I can obtain them.
I'm going to post the other Hannon Family members I found and email you the one Headstone that only had Hannon on it. It was deteriorating, but the dates don't match what your looking for...
|Gary Bonney||RE: Dana Kidder|
I am sorry it has been a while since I read my mail. You left me a message about Dana Kidder.
My relationship is from Dana's wife 2nd marriage to Howland Bisbee Ford. whose descendent married a Bonney.
The only info I have in my tree is That Dana Married Tamer White (1811-1899) burial unknown.
They had 4 children: Roscoe Jacob (1836-1963), Dana Kidder, Jr (unknown) and two other male children.
I show his parents as Jacob and Esther (Waite) No info.
Any Help in filling in gaps in this family line would be appreciated.

I am taking photos of the Masonic Cemetery which is next to the City Cemetery in Sacramento, California. The City Cemetery sold the back part of its property in the early 1920's to the Masonic and Odd Fellows. There is no fence between the three so a person can walk through them. A section of the Masonic already had burials when they acquired it from the city. The cemeteries need a lot of work because many burials are not listed or do not have photos. The City Cemetery has over 30,000 burials and only about 7,000 are on the site. Masonic is in worse shape with only 600 listed on findagrave where there should be at least 7 or 8 thousand. Since there are people already working on the City Cemetery, I decided to start with the Masonic first, going lot by lot and photographing every one. I am doing this because of sheer boredom. I was recently laid off after 12 years of working at a family run plant nursery and am not used to sitting around in a house. The Capital Nursery closed after almost 80 years of serving the Sacramento Valley. So I took up this quest until I find another job.
While in Masonic I took photos of the Lindsay family plot. I am trying to see how all the people in the plot are related so I have been researching on Ancestry. That has led me to find that one of the people there, Salome Acock, married Herbert A Kidder. Salome and her family is in the Lindsay lot but not Herbert. I noticed that she died young so he probably remarried and is buried somewhere else so I did a findagrave search and that led me to your memorial of him over in the city cemetery next door.
I just wanted to inform you that I have linked her to Herbert Kidder's page and if you would like her memorial please let me know.
I also noticed that you have Herbert's plot listed wrong. It is: Sect:OLD MASONIC Tier:CC Gr:26
I copied that right out of the Masonic Lawn Cemetery site. They actually own that section but it is considered part of the City Cemetery. I asked the office about where the property lines were. Some of the names are listed on both the City and the Masonic websites so I wanted to confirm what cemetery the people belonged to. They told me that the property in the City Cemetery that was called the "Old Masonic Section" is owned by the Masonic but they told me to list the names there under the City Cemetery since it was within its boundaries. But either way the section was set aside for Masons and the Kidders were buried in it.
Now - going by the City Cemetery records for Herbert A. Kidder they have him listed as: B 116 26 which is Burial Book: B, Section 116, Grave 26.
I'm not sure which one is the correct one, but I would go with the City Cemetery since they have old, hand drawn burial maps of all the plots and the Masonic just has a list.
Another thing I am trying to do - especially with the older hard to read stones - is to get GPS coordinates. I just purchased a GPS compass to help. I have been using Google maps because most of the cemetery I can see from the satellite view, but there are a few lots obscured by trees. If you would like I could get the GPS of Herbert and the other Kidders there for you. I plan to go there Friday. I can also ask for a copy of the cemetery burial map out of book B for the Kidders. I already got permission to be able to scan them and post them on FindaGrave. I was able to help one lady that was researching her family. She couldn't find their graves because they had no marker but the burial map showed exactly where they were along with a bunch more that had missing stones. I posted family plot to her page, instead of a picture of bare dirt. It was the proof she was looking for that they were indeed buried there. If you would like to see the map check out memorial # 101229439
I would be willing to do the same for your family or even email you a copy of the burial book page. I was planning on getting copies of that area anyway since it is connected to the Masonic Lawn Cemetery so its no bother.
Also, if you go to the City Cem. main page on FindaGrave it will give you the City Cem.'s website. If you check it out on the lower left it will list a burial index list and if you click on that it will give you 2 PDF files. During a search of the pdf file I found a: Chamberlain, Charlotte A, Mrs. Age 67 died Jun 1 1888 daughter of Capt. Nath. Kidder. Nine other Kidders are listed on the file. I'm not sure if you are aware of this so I thought I would let you know.
If you need me to take any photos of the City, Masonic or Odd Fellows please let me know. Even if they are just area shots. I usually go there every two weeks or so depending on how fast I am able to post the photos I take so its no trouble. And if you check out Salome and decide you would like others in her family please let me know so I can transfer them. I am not looking to keep the memorials, only to make sure that everyone is listed accurately and if possible linked to family members.
Happy New Year!
