Amateur genealogist seeking to collect and preserve family history, and photographer with a digital camera. I enjoy riding my Honda Helix, collecting family history and 'graving'. |
See my Virtual Cemeteries for my families of interest.
I add memorials of unrelated individuals I discover in newspaper obituaries if: names, locations and dates might link them to my family tree; and/or advanced age, and/or an interesting obit.
Please let me know if you find an error in any of my listings.
Individuals are welcome to borrow my photographs and to use them for non-commercial purposes that fall within the rules and guidelines of Findagrave.com provided ownership source is clearly acknowledged in each instance - without obtaining prior permission from me.
A very hearty and warm THANK YOU to anyone who is able to add a photo or additional information to any of the memorials I have created! Most of all, thank you for catching my 'fat fingers' mistakes.

thanks for the kind words, Elizabeth! I would love to meet you too! I could repeat the same message back to you. I have hit a snag in my tree, so to keep from staring at it, I have been going through every name I have listed and have been linking them, adding marriages, etc. Makes it so much easier to research when you get the whole family in one click. It is a shame I cant just click and download all this fabulous data into my tree! I love this site!

diller butler creel...
Elizabeth! How wonderful to hear from you. The info you sent was perfect. Funny thing is that I had her name in my tree, but with no dates, I was not sure if this was her grave. Nor did I have the death dates. Even though she is in my tree, this branch of the Creels are not direct relatives and I would be glad to transfer them if you want any of the creels I listed. Just send me a list of the ID # and I will do it. You have been such a blessing! So freely sharing info that has made my tree brances very full and laiden with the fruits of your labor! I value you as an "un-met" friend. Robin

Thanks so much for the link. Elizabeth, I am not related to these folks. If you would like to manage them, let me know and i will transfer them to you. The links have been made.
|Deborah Mackey||Nellie Furrate|
My name is Deborah Mackey and I submitted the information for Patton Chapel Cemetery to FindaGrave. I spent 2 years trying to reconcile an old cemetery book (although the church and cemetery records have burned at least twice)and the graves. While there is a double headstone for Furrate and a footstone for Carl W., there is no birth or death date for Nellie. Her name was written in the cemetery book so I put it on the plot as graves 57C, plots 4 and 5. I'm not sure if she's buried there with no marker or if she's buried elsewhere. I'm sorry I don't have any other information.

J R Parrish is buried Section P Site 6187 at Stones River.
|Ryan Dupree||William Glover|
Thanks for the information.
I am interested in him from the perspective of his service in the 1st Alabama Cavalry.
I maintain a website devoted to these men.
Thank you. I am happy someone will be taking care of Mamaw. I forgot his first name but Annie was married to a Maddox before she died. He passed before her. I forgot his first name as we called him "Pop".

My pleasure to take photos! I also added overview photos for location sites to the memorials for Eloise Sigrest Brown Milwee and Charlotte Sigrest Spadone (but not Phillip Spadone, Sr. since he has a link to Charlotte)..... showing those buried alongside Joseph Allen Brown. Kind regards, Nancy

I believe that Minnie and Myrtle were the children of Jepp L. and Mary Jane Ware (also buried in this cemetery).
I will link Freddy and Alzie together - however, I do not know who Freddy's father was. Alzie died when Freddy was about 14 years old. I distinctly remember Alzie from early childhood, but her husband did not reside with her during this time (nor did I ever meet him). Freddy died in Vietnam, in March of 1968.

Alzie Ware Allums was my grandfather's sister. Her son (Freddy), father (Prince), and grandfather (Jeptha M.), and grandmother Adaline, are also buried in this cemetery.
In the latter half of the 1800's - Jeptha and Adaline (Rockett Ware), moved to the Partridge Crossroads area of Jefferson County from the section of Jefferson County that is today generally considered the Bessemer area. Please note that numerous Ware relatives are buried in the historic Union Cemetery located in Lipscomb, AL (you can view memorial pictures on findagrave.com).
You can find an online record of wills left by Jeptha M. Ware, John Ware (died 1859), and perhaps other Ware relatives - by using 'bing' or 'google' to search(I found both wills by using 'bing' to search for 'John Ware Jefferson County AL', and Jeptha M. Ware Jefferson County AL').
I hope this helps you learn more about your Ware relatives. Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
T. C. Ware
