Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in the Shreveport, La area. Married and moved to East Texas, then the oil field moved my family to Lafayette, LA for 16 years. Now I am back in Texas on Lake Fork near Quitman, TX where we built our retirement home.
What began as giving my daughter some names and dates for her family bible has turned into almost an obsession. I am fascinated by the past that lays quiet and unknown to our future generations. The pieces I gather, document and preserve today I hope will one day be viewed in awe by my future children's children and beyond.

RE: Judge D. Russell
Happy New Year! Hope all is good with you and family.... I don't know if I told you but went to see Charlie and Martha last year and plan to go back. Boy! Charlie is a good cook and Martha too... I at turtle stew while I was there and loved it. We are doing good here... just getting older. My granddaughter Elizabeth married last December a year ago and so I might get to be a great grandmother! Oh dear.... Take care... Love you, cousin Charlotte

RE: Thompson
You are welcome. I spent 24 years in the USAF and this cemetery is awesome. I just added a photo for his wife's memorial... somebody needs to link them.

RE: Henry Harrington
Hey Brenda.... good to see your message.... If you get a picture of Pink Harrington... make an entry on findagrave and go to edit and show you do not know where he is buried and include his picture and of course LINK to family... I would really like to see that picture. I tried searching for him (for Rick), but had absolutely no luck... we had so little to go on.... let me know if and when you get a picture...

you are doing a great job on your tree... it puts me to shame... I also like findagrave because you do not have to pay for that site and it helps others in our line that do not belong to

send me an email and get me caught up on your family.... i know you were quite busy with wedding, etc....

RE: Crump
Yes, I guess I have been busy but the weather has been so beautiful lately that I can't hardly stand to do nothing outside. I love to wander the cemeteries! Thank you for the compliment! I did take several other Crump headstones in the Beulah cemetery, but I haven't had time to resize and add them yet. Another gorgeous weekend is coming up so I will be out in the cemeteries looking for people!

RE: Beasley Photos
Your welcome! I'm glad you liked the photos. I take the up close photos because I know that is what I would want, especially since I usually want to verify dates and names. I have a lot more Beasley and Boswell headstones that I took that were not requested and will post them on their memorials as soon as I can. Deb

Buriels in Woodlawn Cemetery
In reference to your photo request for James Eli Dempsey Jr and William D Dempsey. Woodlawn cemetery was not established until 1900 and these children died in 1883 and 1888, therefore it is highly unlikely that they are buried in this cemetery. If they were moved here in later years, there is no stone for them. All original records for this cemetery were destroyed in a fire at the Roberts Funeral home many years ago. Roberts was the original owners of the cemetery.
Also, note that the dates for Tina, the month and days match, but the year dates are different.

Hi Brenda
How are you doing?

I have been busy with my flower gardens and have not spent much time working on the family tree(s)....

Did you get all the weddings, etc. behind you.
Get me caught up on your news. It has been a while...

We are all good here in Mansfield... we have a cold front now and lots of rain... I do not mind the rain, but I do not like the cold... we are in winter clothes is my email....
