|Romaine Stauffer||RE: Daniel Bieber|
A rough translation:
Jacob Bieber and Ester (Lesher)had a son named Daniel born in the year 1799 the 20th day of November in the State of Pennsylvania and Oley Township. He was baptized on (?) May 1800.
The names at the bottom are probably the officiating minister and witnesses but I can't decipher them.
Notice the mother's maiden name ends with "i-n." This suffix was commonly added to a woman's name in this era to indicate female gender. I would think her first name would do that but that's how it was done at that time.
Since this is a pre-printed form which was just filled in, you may be able to find a book with an identical form which would give you an exact translation. I can read some German but not well enough to attempt a word-for-word translation.
I don't remember where I got this. I was just going through my files this morning, found it, and thought it might be helpful to someone. Glad to hear we scored! You are welcome to copy and circulate as you wish.
|patricia harker||Harker Family|
Hi i am the daughter of Wayne Harker and Carl is my uncle. Bernice is my grandmother. It is so hard to find out any information about them. When my father was alive he would get mad if i asked him questions about his side of the family. So when he passed away i have been clueless about my family on his side. I am at a loss when i try to find anything out about them. But from what i read Dessie Jane Wyatt Harker is my great grandmother. And that Charels Harker is my great grandfather. Wynne is my grandfather and they are his parents. I am so confused about this could you please help me sort this out. Dessie and Charles had a daughter named Neva which i remember my dad telling me that she(Neva) Had his sister living with her. Thats all i was ever told about our family. When i would come in the room they get quiet and not say a word about our family. Its sad that im not sure about my heritage. If possible could you please help me with this. Thanks, Patricia Harker

Harker is a very big name in Browns Mills/Pemberton Township. There are Many, Many graves baring the name Harker in all of the local cemeterys. A lot of them are difficult to read because they are so weathered.
We even have an elementary school called Harker Wylie.
The Pointville Cemetery is just a field located on Fort Dix Army Base. It is tucked at the end of a runway on one side and a road on another and a building on another side. I do not know who is responsible to take care of it but, It is not well maintained. There are many stones that are quite old and they are nothing but nubs that poke out of the grass that have no writing on them. There was some recent activity at the cemetary. The fence was taken down and a new plaque placed, so maybe there has been some renovation.
I believe I have taken photos for you before of Harker Graves.

|Neil D Scheidt||Dietrich Bieber|
I visited the Historical Society today and found a burial record for Maria Elizabeth, wife of Dietrich. Nothing for him, but since he died before her I would assume he is there with her.
There were at least 8 sandstone memorials which were listed as unreadable.
Many burial records were missing. There was no record of burial for wife of George 1698.
I also determined the person at the stone carved with George Bieber; Margaretha Bieber, 5 Nov 1765-26 Nov 1770 5/2/6. The record included the fact that George's name was on her stone.
I have notified the cemetery about this situation.
All of the above is now in findagrave
|Virginia Meadowcroft||Shuey at Mtn View Cem, Oakland, CA|
On Nancy and Robert M. Shuey's memorial pages, I entered photos of the three headstones on plot 97 which is the location the cemetery office has in their records. None are Nancy and Robert's. If you want me to removed these photos from their pagas let me know. Also, I am entering headstone photographs for the Shueys that are in Plot 8, Lot 18 where the monument is that of a large obelisk with many names engraved on it including Gen. Martin Shuey and his wife Mary. There are additional names on the obelisk that are not in findagrave, Caroline Genevra Willey Hansen; Genevra Shuey Willsy and Fred R. Parker. I'll make pages for them and transfer them to you if you wish.
|Robert Malone||Norris Monument|
Regarding your questions: The Norris monument is about 6 feet tall and contains the names of William, Margaret, Rebeca, and Nicholas, only. Margaret also has a separate, badly leaning, stone beside the family monument. John L. Norris is not on the family monument, but his damaged stone is beside Margaret's. It looks like there may have been other individual stones, but they are either broken, missing, or no longer readable. The family monument appears to be well cared for with a planting and flag, with a G.A.R. veteran's plaque.
