Been doing Genealogy for a little over 40 years - and as my friend says, we stand on the shoulders of those who went before. Like to give back.
Just turned 70, so can't dance around the cemeteries like I used to.
Happily married, retired, active in our genealogical society, DAR, church (they actually let me sing!) and do volunteer look ups in Cumberland Co NC.

Isabella Garaghty
Hello here's what I discovered : in the Old Lorimier Cemetery burial records she is listed as(Isabella) Josephine Garaghty b July 19,1838- Oct 16 1865 I am wondering if her middle name is correct? As far as I can tell she was never married. She was the daughter of Eugene and Louisana Burke Garaghty. Eugene and Louisana also had a daughter Josephine as also stated in the 1860 census of Cape Girardeau Co Mo.Josephine at some point in time married a Dutch or Deutch and had 2 children by him the census stated the 2 children where born in Indiana. This Dutch must have died or they got a divorce as she was then living in Cape Girardeau Mo with here parents in the 1870 census. On Jan 28 1874 Josephine married Enoch Holmes Ware in Cape Girardeau Mo. In the 1880 census St. Louis Mo. Josephine and Enoch have 2 daughters Mamie 8 years old and Lula 2 years old Mamie would be too old to be Enoch's daughter. In the 1860 census Cape Girardeau Mo Josephine had 2 daughters Isabella and Mary. so that's another mystery in it's self. I have also seen that Enoch and Josephine had 2 sons. Enoch and Josephine are buried at Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum in St Louis City. There is also a problem with Ann also d/o Eugene and Louisana she was born according the Old Lorimier burial records only 2 months after Isabella. I will check on that soon Hope this helps.

Re: Joseph R. Calcutt
Carolyn,

Thanks so much for your efforts. There is, in fact, a Find A Grave photo but it is under #3. I am so sorry the info I made the request under was incorrect. I will attempt to let the poster know so others won't have the same issue. Thanks again for all you do and share.

RE: Betsy Ann Gill Webster
Could these possibly be two different families? Or, could be nieces or other family on this census?
On Emily's Find A Grave Memorial# 59475384 death certificate it states parents as Thos Gill and Mary Ganee.

RE: Betsy Ann Gill Webster
Carolyn, thank you for your kind words. I have found some information on Thomas. Have you seen the 1860 census? It states Nancy as having been born in 1816, this has to be incorrect, doesn't it? And, there are some younger Gills there, of course, you cannot tell their relationship. And, there is another younger Nancy as well. What a mystery. Any idea? Thank you for all your help! Vonna

RE: Photo Request
Carolyn,
I greatly appreciate your efforts in attempting to locate and photograph headstone in the William Murphy Family Cemetery.

I live in Georgia and have to rely on directions given by those who created the memorials.

I will send a message to the contributor and request more up to date directions, however after dealing with them in the past, I seriously do not expect a reply.

Thanks so much!
