I have been researching 2 Dooley names that are buried in Fairview Cemetery in Buchanan, Va. The one I am having the most trouble with is C. M. Dooley, #122595944. I just thought I would check with you and see if you would have any insight on who this Dooley might be. Thank you.

Hi Norma, my mistake... I must be trying to do too many things at once!
|Carl Weaver||I found John L. Dooley|
This was originally an email, but it was blocked.
While looking for another person at Natural Bridge Baptist, I accidently found John Dooley's stone in the lower southeast corner of the cemetery. It is engraved John L Dooley, Born Jan 5, 1826, no death date
Below that is: Mary J. Kidd, His Wife,Born Sep 4, 1842, Died Feb 28, 1901
On the side of the monument is their daughter:
Maria Katherine Dooley
Wife of Howard Slagle, Born Oct 8, 1867, Died Aug 16, 1894
Nothing on the other two sides. After you review the 3 memorials I have created and transferred to you, please request photos and I will post the ones I took this morning. I may have to do John's over because his engraving is facing west and was in the shade when I was there early today.

Norma - I searched the Natural Bridge Baptist cemetery with emphasis on CW graves and did not find John Dooley. There are many unmarked graves there, so perhaps you should check the church records. It is still active - phone 540.291.2569

I have not heard of the NB Baptist Church Cemetery. Do you mean the Natural Bridge Baptist Cemetery? If it is, I can check there for you.
In the meantime, you might want to contact Scott Hutchison firstname.lastname@example.org
who specializes in finding soldiers graves.

Good afternoon. I went to this cemetery today to take photo's for you. I could not find any of the 4 people you listed (Levina Callahan, Mary Manuel, Martha Mason & Matilda Phillips). I found a lot of their family but they were more recenlty deceased. There were a number of old tombstones that have had the writing worn off of them. I also stopped at another cemetery on the same road (in the rear of the Salem Church) and again there were a number of what I would guess are relatives of these four but not the 4 you are looking for. Sorry about that, but I tried.

Glad to take the picture Norma - I go to that Church, so it was pretty easy! :)
|Henry Webber||Tombstone Request|
I see where you have request for tombstone photo's for Lewis Webber in Hill Crest Cemetery and for Jacob and Nannie Webber in Glade Creek Cemetery. The three of them already have photo's of their tombstone. You might want to consider deleting you photo request. Thanks, Henry Webber
